The next day I slept until the lunch time

The next day I slept until the lunch time. Mama knocked my door for breakfast but I couldn't scrape myself off from bed. So I don't open the door or eat breakfast.

My office friends texted me to get well soon. They must be getting ready for the party. I so badly wanted to go for this event but now I can't with the bruises. Most of all I don't want to answer their questions.

By the Lunch time I get ready to do what I should have done a long time ago. There's noone at home except Mama. Arya is at work and Zara has special classes at school. I tell Mama & Papa that I am visiting Nitya and take my leave.

I get into a three wheeler and text Nitya.

Shivanya - I am filing a restraining order against him. You were right.

Nitya - I am always right! Why didn't you tell me? I am on my way to Ritesh's home. If you had called me earlier I would've came along with you.

I know it's her date night with Ritesh so I didn't want to disturb her. I know if I had told her she'd have cancelled it. My bestfriend has a big heart.

Shivanya - I've got this. I'll text you once I reach. Bye 🤍

Nitya - Be safe Shivi ❤

The vehicle parks infront of the police station. I get out and pay him. I take a deep breath and will myself to go ahead.

Be strong.

I suddenly come to a halt because standing there in the middle of the mall next to the police station is Zara with her bestfriend Ahana. They see me and freezes.

I walk towards them and ask in a stern tone, "What are you guys doing here? You both are supposed to be at school right now." Zara has the audacity to look guilty & Ahana just blinks standing there.

"Shiv-Shivi. I lied" she stutters.

"What!? Why?!" I ask them confused looking between the two of them.

Then Ahana comes infront & says, "We wanted to watch a film in the theaters didi. I asked my parents they won't bring me here and my bhai says I could watch it in the home theaters! But I want to watch it here! like ordinary people."

Yeah Ahana's a rich kid in her rebellious era. We never knew about her family because she didn't want to expose herself to others in fear of differential treatment. Poor kid.

And Zara comes forward, "And you very well know about Papa and Mama. They'll castrate me if they knew I went to the movies. Please Shivi don't tell them." She pleads using her puppy eyes charm.
