~ INTO THE WILD B1 ~

C1. Horrifying discovery.

Nex woke up again to his alarm ringing into his ear, he was upset and didn't wanna get out of bed, due to feeling a bit ill. He pushed himself out of bed tiredly, and went to get off his bed, but fell, he looked around and everything was much shorter than it was last night.

Nex looked down and saw paws instead of human feet and hands, he shrieked as his mom came in.

"Nex left already?" She asked, as she looked down and saw the cat.

"He never told me he had a cat? How do we take care of this thing?" She picked Nex up.

"What should we name you? I might take it up with Nex when he gets home, I guess? I am so glad he brought you home! Let's go get you some food." She smiled, petting him softly.

"Mom. It's me Nex." He meowed.

"Awh! You're meowing!" She smiled.

She got ready to leave, grabbed her keys, and headed out. She left the door slightly open, I took that as my queue to get out. Nex squeezed through the door, and ran down the street, crashing into Arthur.

¨God damn." I hissed.

Arthur then looked down at me and smiled.

¨Awh! A cat, you must be hungry.¨ He reached into his bag and pulled out a sandwich, slowly kneeling to Nex, and handing him it.

Nex looked at Arthur for a moment and turned to walk away, before Arthur picked him up, and started petting him, Nex hissed angrily. Nex hated Arthur.

¨Hey it's okay?¨ He said kindly, petting Nex softer.

Nex stopped squirming and rested in his arms, slowly dozing off.

¨Guess I finally have a friend, well. One I can talk to at least.¨ He smiled down at Nex, who was currently purring. Nex let out a small meow, before closing his eyes again.

¨There's this mean girl in my class, she's kinda nice when she wants to be though, I don't know how to talk to her, without her being a bitch about it, all cause I sat next to her. Crazy right?¨ Arthur asked.

Nex looked at Arthur angrily. ¨He/Him.¨ He meowed.

¨I know. Maybe I should be nicer, I mean. She's the only friend I have? Cause if she knew I was.. Well. Before I say that, let me tell you. Some kids have been born with magic. Some are vampires. Some can shape-shift, a common one is just a casual animal, but rare is two, and three is ultra-rare. And legendary, well. All animals. Some people can turn invisible, or just have powers, not all of us can manage to control these things, personally. As a Vampire, I have practiced all my life. So I am good, I can control it. Some people were born with all of these, and there is more but thats for another time, the shape-shifters have clans. All of them made the clans for territories all because of a book called Warrior Cats, so they made it real, it's so cool, I can't be a part of the clans, which I could be, but they won't allow it because they all know I have other unnatural abilities. I hate the people with super strength.¨ He smiled down at Nex who was wide-eyed.

¨Yeah, it's a lot to take it. Wait a moment.¨ He looked down at Nex.

¨You look like a cat version of Nex. And natural animals do not understand what I am saying, you're acting a lot like you know what I am talking about.¨ Arthur was catching on. He could tell that Nex was acting like he didn't understand.

¨If your Nex. let me help you control this. Alright? Stand right here.¨ he set Nex down and started asking Nex to do his orders.

¨Okay, so basically, to control your inner animal, I need you to sit and listen to things around you, it can help calm the animal. If that doesn't work, try acting more human-like.¨ He asked.
