Nightstrike and Scrotchclaw sat together talking about how warriors battle, and the best way to fight back. But Nightstrike couldn't shake off this weird feeling that Scortchclaw would try his hardest to fight for him, but then again. He remembered Scortchclaw would do anything, and kill anyone in his way of hurting his clan. So Nightstrike needed to do what he needed to do to kill Scortchclaw within the next two months.

¨Okay. Let's start with scents.¨ Scorchclaw smiled.

¨Alright." Nightstrike sighed.

¨What you wanna do is get you're snout low to the ground, and just smell.¨ Scortchclaw ordered.

¨What do you smell?¨ He continued.

¨Something sweet?¨ Nightstrike replied oddly.

¨That'd be a mouse.¨ Scorchclaw teased.

Nightstrike stared at him for a moment in sadness.

¨Do I need to fight you?¨ He sighed.

Scortchclaw looked upset for a moment. ¨I hate to say this kid. But. Yeah, you'll need to try at least to. We don't need to hurt one another, just. Pretend you are. For me? Because I can't get kicked out of the clans, they are the last thing I have, and I need to prove I am worthy and loyal to them.¨ Scortchclaw suggested.

"Fine. As long as I am not hurting you." Nightstrike exhaled.

Scortchclaw smiled sadly but decided to cheer Nightstrike up a bit.

"Wanna learn how to fight!" Scortchclaw asked excitedly.

"Do I have to?" Nightstrike sighed.

"Seeing as in a few weeks from now I won't be able to fight for you, yes." Scortchclaw smiled.

Nightstrike sighed but he eventually agreed.

"So. For the back kick: it's a surprise attack on one's opponent. Explosive surprise move to catch the opponent from behind. Judge your opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.

Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.

Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.

Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent

Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.

Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto the opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in a position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.

Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting the other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.

Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in an attacking position.
