Nightmare and Killer are females in this one-shot! This doesn't have any NSFW, I have another specific book made for NSFW one-shots so it doesn't get mingled together.

Nightmare was known for her strong position around the multiverse, she was famously known as the Guardian of Negativity after all. But, of course, she had a soft spot for those stupid idiots who devoted themselves to her day and night. They had their own rooms and the freedom to do as they pleased.. of course, as long as they warned Nightmare.

However, a special case existed among the "stupid idiots" who worked for her. Killer, one of her most loyal employees, had a few additional, lesser-known privileges... it was noticeable, but only for the ones that could closely see it.

Firstly, Killer didn't just have a bedroom, she had her own suite. Moreover, it was close to Nightmare's room; this was because she trusted Killer to defend her and the castle if the need arose. Killer also had permission to enter Nightmare's office whenever she wished, a privilege that others didn't quite understand. Additionally, Killer had the freedom to speak and behave informally around Nightmare.

Dust personally detested this. It was difficult for her to hold his tongue, especially around Nightmare. This struggle to keep quiet often resulted in her receiving the most punishments for disrespect. However, Nightmare never verbally spoke of those privileges, it just automatically happened and it kept going like that. It's like Killer just could do whatever she wanted, and she just got used to it; but she herself never noticed she got treated differently, she didn't even believe the times Dust kept complaining about being the only one with this special treatment.

Honestly, Horror just found it interesting how Nightmare only gave the exceptional attention to Killer and no one else; why would Nightmare do that to anyone? She had all the right reasons to be interested in this specific relationship between the two women. Horror was a curious individual anyways...

Well, anyways, the reason for all this talk was... Nightmare recently realized she treats Killer differently from others. This realization now makes her exceedingly nervous around Killer, although there is no clear reason for it. It made her feel inferior deep inside, but she understands there's more to it. This sense of inferiority doesn't manifest when she's actually interacting with Killer.. it's like it feels right to treat Killer better, like she deserves it. She knew she saved Killer from her misery, but that didn't explain the feeling she felt.

Before Nightmare could finish her thoughts, her office door opened, causing her to immediately snap out of her reverie. "Boss? Can we talk?", Killer asked directly, catching Nightmare off guard as she had just been thinking about her. "Y-yes, sure.", Nightmare responded, clearing her throat and adjusting her posture. Killer calmly walked over to her boss's desk and sat on the chair in front. "Um, so... I've wanted to tell you this for a while, since I don't really understand this thing about feelings, but...", she glanced up at Nightmare and tilted her head around a little.

"recently, every time you're talking to me or paying attention to me I-... I don't know, it feels strange. It makes me happy and.. giddy?"; If Nightmare was nervous before, now she was intensely stressed. Was she really the one to explain feelings to Killer? Those types of feelings!? More importantly, why did Killer feel like that around NIGHTMARE, of all the people Killer has ever known? She hid her face behind her hands, deeply contemplating about the consequences of treating Killer differently.

Nightmare hummed, glancing up at the woman seated across her desk. ".. You see, Killer...", she starts, she began, her face warming noticeably. She watched Killer's confused reaction, feeling a pang of guilt for causing such unfamiliar feelings due to her misleading actions. "I hope I'm incorrect.. but, normally, according to Dream's strange file about... positive feelings...", she trailed off, uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation. Perhaps she should ask Killer to leave and discuss this later, but she found herself unable to.
