Minji's POV:
I tossed around in bed, annoyed because I couldn't fall asleep. I had been lying in bed since 11 pm and now it was three in the morning. I groaned and got out of bed, making my way over to the kitchen to get some water and maybe a snack.
When I came back from the kitchen, I saw my phone being spammed with messages. Who was messaging me at this time? I picked up the phone from the bedside table and saw it was Hanni. Why was Hanni messaging me?
(Text messages)
Pham: KIM MINJI
Pham: Min
Pham: ARE YOU SLEEPING
Pham: Who the hell sleeps this early?
Pham: KIM MINJI LISTEN TO ME
Me: What
Pham: No, you don't sound excited enough, I'm not telling you
Me: What did you want to tell me, Hanni Pham, at 3 in the morning!? 🤗🤗 Is that excited enough?
Pham: No, it isn't, but whatever. I think I figured out where we should go for the hangout.
Me: Didn't we agree on going swimming?
Pham: We did, but the weather is too chilly for us to be swimming, which is why I found the perfecttttt place
Me: And that is?
Pham: Remember the bicycling spot Dani showed us? I found a cute café close to it, it's a book café , and it has the cutest theme ever!
Me: You want to go have coffee? You're making it sound like a date
Pham: It isn't me who's making it sound like a date, IT'S YOU
Me: When are we going?
Pham: How about tomorrow? or should I say today because it's past 12
Me: But Danielle and Haerin wanted all four of us to hang out today
Pham: It's okay, we'll make up an excuse. This way, Rin could finally spend time with Dani alone and maybe make a move.
Me: Sounds good. I'll pick you up at 5? We should leave early.
Pham: 5 sounds good, but you'll pick me up? Aren't I supposed to be the driver? Can you even drive?
Me: Yes, Hanni, I can drive. I just don't have a car, neither do I have your address, so send me that.
Pham: Yeah, I'll send you the address. Will you borrow your mom's car?
Me: Yes, I will
Me: Why are you not sleeping?
Pham: Because I don't want to? Why are you not sleeping?
Me: Because I can't.
Hanni once again left me on delivered, but a few minutes later, my phone started ringing. Hanni was FaceTiming me. Wait, what? I sat up and looked in the mirror. I looked terrible. I fixed my hair and my surroundings as much as I could and cleared my throat before finally attending the call.
