Continuation..

Red makes her way into the Café, Layla breathlessly following after her.

Lilith remains sat on one of their chairs with a stern expression held on Layla who seems to be crumbling as the seconds tick away. Ashton and Elio are making an attempt of cleaning up the Café.

Layla eyes Red's body that crouches to Lilith in the chair, she feels further humiliation over come her, having never felt more unwanted.

"I'm sorry.. Freddy doesn't really have any social cues and he thought it would've been a good joke, which of course it wasn't." Layla says through a heavy breath, her face reddening which increases with each second her eyes are locked on Lilith's glare, Red's head somehow still not turning and she feels herself want to sink.

Lilith kisses her teeth in annoyance, "Don't apologise to me, apologise to Red who is somehow still getting taken the piss out for her past-" Lilith is cut off by Red who slightly snaps at her and demands her to stop.

Layla quickly nods in understanding, "Yes, of course. I'm so sorry, and I did not intend to offend you at all." Layla repeats, her eyes locked on Red's side profile as though she's scared to look Layla in the eye, until she straightens up again, pushing her legs back before she pats Lilith's back.

"Get home the lot of you, I'll do all the cleaning." Red demands, Ashton and Elio move in sync as they excitedly smile and grab their belongings, Lilith's eyes remain fixated on Red as she gets to her feet.

"Leave our car behind." Red instructs, Lilith tiredly nods before leaving the Café with the boys after some exchanged goodbyes.

When silence meets the pair, it rings and swirls its way into their heads, Layla's turns knotted and Red's remains calm.

Red still doesn't meet her eyes, she turns her back, picking up the coffee cup that was facing Lilith's chair as she makes her way to the back of house, Layla feels herself magnetise towards her, and Red feels a smile tug at her lips as she pushes the back door open and feels Layla following behind her.

It's when Red drops the cup in the sink and Layla leans against the counter beside her, Red's head lifts, a couple of curls hanging in front of her face when brown meets green, and Red holds until she knows Layla has absorbed the entirety of her gaze on her.

Where's my love- SYML

"Don't ever apologise for something that isn't your doing." Red's voice is clear, buzzing directly into Layla's ear drums, and their eyes remain glued to one another's as Layla's eyebrows narrow.

"Yeah?" Red ensures understanding, her dark eyes piercing directly into Layla's light ones before she nods in response.

Red's eyebrows bounce up in gratitude as she reaches her right hand to the end of her left sleeve and begins to push it up, revealing her veins and her tattoos, every bit of her so raw and Layla's eyes uncontrollably flick to her arms and lock there.

Red turns to push the other sleeve up, and as she does so, her eyes flick down to Layla, watching her eyes quickly meet her own, she suppresses her smile, "There's nothing more I hate than getting the ends of my sleeves wet from washing a couple of cups." Red states, her voice low as though she's letting Layla in on a secret and Layla feels her own hearing fixate all its attention on Red's voice as her eyes do so on her lips.
