This chapter was written by Samantha. Its kinda an additional story. It's shorter than usual, and it introduces a new character.
"Hey Emily! What was your plan going to be after the raid?" Samantha asked. "Well, I don't really know. I guess I would get a crew of my own and travel the world righting wrongs and looking for adventure and so on so such..." Came the reply. Samantha nodded thoughtfully. Before she could ask another question, a tall boy walked up and grabbed Kane by the collar, heaving him up from the grass. "Hey! Let him go!" Samantha and Emily yelled. "You tramps owe me money for letting the little brat and her toy go free a few months ago. Plus, I need to make up for some time lost teasing you two about your 'dreams.'" Mikey sneered. "Well, you're going to have to catch us first!" Samantha smirked as she kicked his shin, hard. Mikey screeched and let go of Kane, unprepared for that confrontation. Samantha grabbed Kane and Emily's arm and ran to the Ward gates, Mikey not far behind them. "I discovered a secret place where we can talk without anyone hearing us or barging in." Samantha gasped. "It was a year ago, and it's difficult to find." She led them up the stairs to the library. Once they were all in, Kane and Emily locked the door and moved a chair in front of it. "It's here somewhere... Um... Doors and rooms of convenience... Doors and rooms... Convenience... Ah-ha!" Samantha cried as she pulled a gray book a quarter way out of the shelf. They heard a shuffling noise, and a large continuous creaking sound, and then the shelf split in two! A long dark hallway appeared and a torch hung from the wall, expecting them. "What is th-" Emily never finished the sentence. A huge bang erupted from the door and the floor shook. "Quickly!" Samantha rushed as she pushed Kane and Emily in the hallway. She grabbed the torch and a few seconds later, the shelf came back to normal and the book went back in place. Kane took the torch from Samantha and waved it around. "It leads to a beautiful place that I find is like a room of requirement. It is a big room decorated with tall beams and many more books. It is under the Baron's office so you can eavesdrop and such. I find it most amazing that only so few know about this place. Only the Baron, the royal family, me, the librarian and a few guards know about it. Now we can add you two to the list." Samantha added with a smile. They soon arrived at two doors. Kane looked at Samantha expectedly, and watched quizzically as she walked towards the left one and snatched the torch from Kane's hand. She opened the door and immediately threw the torch into the fountain to their right. "Woah." Was all they could say as they took in their surroundings. The description they were given was almost exactly accurate to the room. "Well, sit down at least." Samantha said as she led them to some chairs. "One moment!" Samantha abruptly got up and disappeared in the many stacks of books. "Ah yes. The map of Araluen. And here is a map of Skandia. Help me unfold these please." Kane and Emily stood up and helped open the documents. "See, we need to edit the map of Skandia. Emily, you are going to be the most help on this project, for you are a Skandian by trade." Emily blushed. Silence occupied the group for a moment. "Was that..." Samantha whispered. "If who I think is in here is in here I will laugh harder than ever." Baron Aruald declared as he opened the door.
