"Don't you want to try it?" Emily asked Samantha. "I kind of want to, but I get nervous easily." Came the answer. "Oh come on!" Emily said cheerfully as she handed Samantha the bow. She gulped. "Alright..." Samantha said as she picked up an arrow. Samantha nocked, drew and shot and surprised everyone with a bullseye.
"I didn't know you had that in you!" Kane said with a surprised grin. "Thanks." Samantha muttered.

"You know, I never thought I'd be doing this at such a young age, I always assumed that whatever the world threw at the Rangers at this time, they could handle it without some 13 year olds." Samantha mused as she balanced an arrow on her finger. "Is that an insult or a compliment?" Will said as he walked in the secret library. "Oddly enough, this secret library isn't that secret any more." Kane said with a chuckle. "That brings home another question. How many people actually know what this place is? And where does some of the other doors lead to?" Samantha asked Will. "Oof. That's quite a question. Let's see, other than the royal family, the Baron, us Rangers, you three, a former employee turned bad Malvinic-" "what do you mean 'turned bad?' Tell us more about him! Please." Emily added. "Alright. Malvinic was a close friend of the Baron. They always talked to each other about politics and what not. One day though, he just vanished. Next thing we know he is an evil warlord searching vengeance and to fulfill his destiny by finishing what Morgarath started. The rest isn't that important really." He looked baffled as the three started all talking at once. "Slow down! You first." He said randomly as he pointed at Samantha. "What do you mean 'not important?!' If he know the route to here we are all in trouble! Also-what if he was the one that summoned the Kalkara out of it's death-like hibernation?!" Samantha said, her voice raising in pitch the more she said. "Well, um, I don't know. That's a possibility I suppose." Will said uncertainly.

"I can't do it! I can't go to Araluen willingly anymore!" Erak cried. "Oberjarl. You are being unreasonable! Just let us go and you can stay here and relax. Being your advisor, politically speaking, we as Skandians need this trip, to tighten the treaty as well as finding your daughter." Borsal said reasonably. "Okay, I suppose. But what if they HAVE changed! And once you get ashore, they kill you on the spot! I can't let you guys die." Erak whimpered. Svengal looked at Gundar, his eyes saying, 'wow he has changed.'
~~~~~~Araluen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yes! Yes! The power is deafening! It appears that daddy Morgarath has let me inherit his mind control techniques. Pardon me a chuckle." Malvinic laughed maniacally as he looked down upon the now ferocious Wargals. The leader of the four genovesans came forward as well as a man, Jafar, who said he was the son of Yusal, a big enemy of Araluen. "Shall we first just kidnap her? Erak is close to madness worrying over her. That way we can rip the treaty into pieces and watch a full on war take place." Jafar suggested. "Hm... Very well. Prepare the Kalkara, and remind her, NOT TO KILL THE GIRL!" Malvinic yelled.
