A/N: Sorry I haven't updated in a while.

The group from Redmont had rested over night, and had been traveling for a day. Kane looked at his brother nervously. Going into war as a sencond-year apprentice is dangerous. Mikey could possibly die in this battle. Kane sighed and turned to Baron Arald. The Baron loved battles and boar hunts, but Kane was wondering if Baron Arald ever got scared in battle.

Emily sat up suddenly as the the door slammed back on its hinges. She yawned and opened her eyes wearily. Standing in the doorway was Malvinic, a very angry Malvinic. "Who in the blazes killed Jafar and Gerarld?!" He roared. Emily looked down at her feet, aswell as the others. "Well? Who was it?!" He asked. Emily felt a shiver go down her spine. She opened her mouth to say something. "I did it." Came a voice from behind her, and she turned around to see Gilan. "Gilan, no!" She yelled and stood up. "He didn't do it, I did!" Malvinic looked at them stubbornly. "Which one of you?" Samantha stood up. "No, it was me!"
Then Halt. "It was me."
Will too. "Don't listen to them, it was me."
Malvinic stared at them furiously. "WHO DID IT?!" He bellowed. "I did!" They all said in unison. Malvinic growled. "I'll just play along with your game and punish you all." They all glanced at each other. "Fine, it was me." Gilan said. "Gilan..." Emily started, but Gilan waved it away. "Alright then, follow me." Malvinic ordered. Gilan hesitated and looked back at his friends. Emily had her head down, Samantha was watching after Malvinic, and Halt and Will had worried looks on their faces. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." He said reassuringly. "HURRY UP!" Yelled an angry Malvinic. Gilan nodded, and walked out of the cavern room, closing the door as he left. Emily bowed her head, and her eyes watered. She looked up and noticed something. Gilan had left the door ajar. Emily smiled and looked to the others. They had obviously seen the same thing. "So, how are we gonna break him out?"

Kane looked side to side desperately. It had started to rain, and he was drenched in water. The rain fell through the leaves, and even when they blocked the water, the filled and fell and spilled over on top of them. Kane looked to Mikey who looked back at him and smiled. He motioned Kane closer, and he obeyed. As Kane walked over, Mikey started talking. "So, how's life been in the Ward?" He asked. Kane shrugged. "It's been fine, I guess. I've friends and I'm fed properly." He answered. Mikey nodded and pulled Kane closer. "I need to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"It's about our last name. I know you were raised with the thought that nobody knew your parents, but they did. We do, in fact have a last name, and it's-" Mikey was interrupted as the Baron called out. "We will rest here, set up camp and rest. If we continue traveling in the rain, then some may get sick, so we will stay here until the storm ends." He commanded. "Our last name is Airwen." Mikey finished. Kane looked to him in surprise. "You mean, we're related to the Airwens?!" He said in shock. The Airwen family was a very popular family among the people of Redmont. Carrie Airwen, Kane and Mikey's mother, was a wonderful Courier, but she was very humble, and didn't show off. Xavier Airwen, their dad, was a popular chef. He cooked delicious meals, but like his wife, was very humble. "Yes, we are related." Mikey's voice interrupted him from his thoughts. Kane nodded, and helped set up camp.

Emily was awoken from her nap by Halt shaking her arm. She moaned and sat up. "Follow me." Halt said, and led her to where her friends were waiting. She huddled in with them as they discussed the plan. "Emily and Samantha, you two stay here. If Malvinic comes in, I need you to take him out. Halt and I will go find Gilan. Ok?" Will explained. There was some argument from Samantha, who desperately wanted to come, but it calmed as they discussed why she couldn't. "This is a serious matter." Will had said. "We need professional Rangers for this." Samantha nodded, and the two girls walked over to the door with Will and Halt. Halt opened the door slowly, and the two Ranger's walked out. Emily yawned and walked over to the other side of the cavern. Malvinic had taken their weapons, but he didn't compensate one. Their (I forgot what they're called. They're the two iron pieces that they hook together and throw at their enemies or ball them up in their fist, and punch their enemy.)

Halt and Will moved silently through the cave. They were following a track of footprints from Malvinic and Gilan. They tracked for about 10 minutes, and then the footprints ended. They led into a door. Chattering was heard inside. Halt opened the door slowly and looked in the small crack. Malvinic had his back to him, and he was questioning Gilan. Halt opened the door more, and he and Will snuck in. Their soft-soled boots hardly made a sound on the floor. Gilan and Malvinic were about 30 meters away. They used the shadows to cover them. As they snuck up on Malvinic, they heard that he was questioning Gilan. Halt pulled out his (That thing I forgot) and hooked them together, and threw them at Malvinic's head. It was only a few feet away, when Malvinic backed up. The flew in front of his face, and he jerked his head to Will and Halt. Halt scowled and pulled the cowl over hi head more. Malvinic looked to Gilan. "This isn't over." He said, and brought hid dagger into Gilan's arm, making a gash. Gilan let out a wail of pain and grasped his arm. Anger welled up inside of Halt and Will. Will pulled out his (That thing again) and hooked them together. Malvinic realized that he only missed the last throw from Halt by coincidence, and probably didn't have much a chance with Will. Malvinic sprinted for the door, and ran out. Halt and Will followed, and noticed that Malvinic had ran out of the cave. They turned around and ran to Gilan. Blood was seeping through his sleeve, and his hand was covered with blood. They softly picked him up. "Are you ok?" Asked Halt. Gilan looked up at him. "I just got stabbed in the arm. Of course I'm not ok!" He said. Halt and Will smiled as they opened the door to the cavern they were staying in. Emily and Samantha jumped up as the door opened. They noticed Gilan, and came running over. "Gilan! What happened?!" Emily shouted in fear. Gilan struggled to answer, so Will answered for him, "Malvinic stabbed his arm." The girls nodded with understanding, and prepared a spot for Gilan to rest. Before they had left the cavern where Gilan was stabbed, they had bandaged his arm, and added the Warm-weed salve on it. Gilan was now fast asleep, and the troops from Redmont were on their way. What could possibly go wrong?
