श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता.

।। श्री ।।

As the Great War loomed ahead,
Arjuna, Mahanayak, with heart so sore,
Gandiva Bow held tight in trembling hand,
Emotions raging, unable to withstand.
He dropped his Gandiva bow in a deep hole.

" कर्पण्य-दोषोपहाता-स्वभाव: पृच्छामि त्वम धर्म-संमुध-चेता:
याक चरेयः स्यान निश्चितम ब्रुही तन मी शिष्य ते ' हं शाधि मां त्वाम प्रपन्नम्?"

[Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of miserly weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me for certain what is best for me. Now I am Your disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please instruct me.]

And so, Shri Krishna revealed the secret divine,
Of Karma Yoga, hidden long ago, so fine,
From Sun god to his son Vaivasvat Manu,
it was passed down,
But in time, its essence was lost and never found.

"स एवायं मया तेऽद्य योग: प्रोक्त: पुरातन: |
भक्तोऽसि मे सखा चेति रहस्यं ह्येतदुत्तमम् ||"

[That very ancient science of the relationship with the Supreme is today told by Me to you because you are My devotee as well as My friend; therefore you can understand the transcendental mystery of this science.]

"This knowledge is sacred and supreme,
And it shall be known as Bhagavad Gita, a timeless dream."

The answers given were not just for Arjuna,
But for all those who seek, with yearning,
If we ask with sincerity,
God will answer within,
Each jiva, a personal Bhagavad Gita,
a journey to begin
.

For Arjuna asked with earnestness and devotion,
And Shri Krishna answered with love and compassion,
If we seek with the same ardour and zeal,
God will guide us on the path to reveal.

In its complex words and profound tone,
Lies the inspiration to make our souls shine and atone.

Let us heed the call of Bhagavad Gita,
And let its teachings guide us to a better vista,
For it is not just a book, but a way of life,
That can lead us to triumph over any strife.

Arjuna shall be our guide, as we embark on this journey,
To discover the truths of life, and find our destiny.

In the words of Madhava, lies the ultimate truth,
And in the light of Bhagavad Gita, we shall find our youth.

Listen, dear jiva, with open ear,
Let Krishna's words dispel all fear.
For like Arjuna, we too can find,
The peace and wisdom of the divine.
