"This is so boring!" I stated and slammed the book shut.
Esmond chuckled and closed his book. "Harper you are the one that needs to learn about the kingdoms history," He reminded me.
I huffed and rested my head on the table. "I've been stuck in here for hours!" I shouted; I'm going to die in this damn library!
"You have been here five minutes," He told me."And you've only read a page of that book."

I groaned, I was curious about the kingdom but boy did I miss the internet, all I had was books, hundreds of books!

"Okay forget it, lets do something fun!" I began and stood up. "Is there anywhere we can go?"
Esmond hummed. "I guess we could go to the river?" He suggested.
I grinned. "Oh yeah!" I cheered. "Lets go!"

I followed Esmond round the palace; I had no idea how we were getting to this river or where it was so it was done to my protector to get me there!

Esmond had taken me to the stables, I watched him put a saddle on the horse and then the reins, he hopped on and nodded his head backwards. "Hop on," He told me then offered me his hand. "Come on."

I took his hand and he pulled me up onto the horse, I wrapped my arms around his waist and off we went galloping away from the palace, we went through the small villages of the people and soon we stopped in front of a peaceful stoned walk way, the horse slowly walked down it and appeared in front of me was a bright blue river, the water calmly flowed by and the sun glowed above it.

"So what do you think?" Esmond asked as he climbed off the horse.

I smiled down at him. "It's amazing!" I told him and climbed off the horse.

I went and sat next to the water, I slowly dipped my hand in the water; it was warm. I smiled and used my index finger to make circles in the water then suddenly a small gold fish appeared and seemed to follow my finger.

"Sing to it," Esmond told me.

I frowned. "Why would I sing to a fish?" I asked.

"Trust me," He told me with a smile.

"What shall I sing?" I asked.

Come on what do you sing to a fish?

"Erm I'm not sure, have you got a favorite song?" He asked.

I sighed. "Okay here goes nothing," I mumbled and took a breath... I decided on 'when I look at you' by Miley Cyrus. Why not?

"Everybody needs inspiration
Everybody needs a song
A beautiful melody, when the night's so long
'Cause there is no guarantee, that this life is easy

Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no, light to break up the dark
That's when I, I, I look at you

When the waves are flooding the shore
And I can't find my way home anymore
That's when I, I, I look at you

When I look at you, I see forgiveness, I see the truth
You love me for who I am like the stars hold the moon
Right there where they belong
And I know I'm not alone

Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no light to break up the dark
That's when I, I, I look at you

When the waves are flooding the shore
And I can't find my way home anymore
That's when I, I, I look at you

You appear just like a dream to me
Just like kaleidoscope colors that cover me
All I need, every breath that I breathe
Don't you know, you're beautiful," I sang softly.

"Look," Esmond whispered.

Fish had suddenly swam over to us and they were all looking at me. "That's crazy," I whispered. "How?"

Esmond chuckled. "Your special Harper," He told me.

We both sat there for a few hours, my head was resting on his lap as we talked; Esmond told me about his family, he had five brothers all were warriors for the king, his Mother lived in the village and his father had died in a battle many years ago. Esmond was the youngest and was always told he was destined to protect someone and show respect for everyone. He asked me about my life on Earth, I told him about me meeting my family, going to school, getting into trouble and having fun. I liked talking to Esmond I found him so easy to talk to.

"Princess Hela, Esmond you are requested at the palace!" A guard shouted from behind us.

We shared a confused look. "Why?" I asked.

"The Kingdom is in danger," The guard told us.

I looked at Esmond and he placed a hand on my shoulder... I hoped the guard was being dramatic...
