*Hela's POV*

I was sat in my room with Rosabelle, I had found a stunning dark purple sparkly dress for her and I did her hair. She was extremely cute and just lovely to talk to; I can see why Esmond saved her.

"I used to see the boy by the stables a lot," Rosabelle spoke up.

"Esmond?" I asked as I looked at her in the mirror.

She nodded. "Mama said he was a stable boy for a long, long time," She told me. "He used to take care of Odin's horse!"

I smiled. "He took care of me too," I told her. "I came to this world with very little understanding of this world but Esmond told me, showed me so much and he's the reason why I stayed."

Rosabelle frowned. "You didn't want to stay?" She asked.

I shook my head. "No, I didn't belong here. I had friends back on Earth and I was so upset and angry about being here... I just wanted to go back home and be human," I told her.

"B- But then you wouldn't be Queen, you wouldn't have won the battle a- and you wouldn't have fallen in love with Esmond!" She told me. "When we took shelter he told me about you, he said you were the sweetest, kindest, loving person in all the realm."

I laughed. "Yeah that sounds like Esmond, always giving compliments," I told her. "But yes, if I didn't stay I wouldn't be Queen."

"I like you," She told me and hugged my waist. "I think you're a great Queen, just like Frigga!"

I smiled softly. "Thank you Rosabelle," I told her and hugged her back. "Now are you ready for our 'Remembrance Ball'?"

Rosabelle nodded slowly. "Yeah," She told me not sounding too confident.

"Hey you should have seen me when I went to my first party," I began. "I was scared to death, I wanted to cry!"

"What if I get lost?" She asked me.

I took her hand in mine. "I'll take care of you, trust me as long as you can still hear my loud voice you'll know I'm just round the corner," I told her.

Together we walked out the my room, we were met by a group of Guards who escorted us to the throne room, I pushed open the golden doors and I was greeted by hundreds of people stood on two sides of the room forming a walk way, I held my staff and Rosabelle tightly as I walked, I nodded at the people as I walked by. As I got to the steps I saw the warriors three, Thor and my Dad, I climbed the steps and Rosabelle stood next to me, gently holding onto my dress.

"My people, today we won. We won our battle against the Elves, together we protected our kingdom but most importantly we lost many lives," I began and gently rested my hand on the back of Rosabelle's  head. "Many husbands, brothers, friends, they mattered, their lives mattered to me and I never wanted a battle, I never wanted anyone to die because of me, because of my order... But they did... My people stood by me and fought for their kingdom, for their children, for their wives and I thank them for making the ultimate sacrifice.... Today I lost someone, I lost my friend, Esmond. I loved him but I never told him, I was too scared to tell him but tonight we will all remember those loved one's we have lost we will honour their memory!"

The crowd erupted with cheering and applause. "Beautifully said Hela, you've made everyone proud," Lady Sif told me.

I smiled. "I'm not finished yet," I told her then stood up straighter. "After my actions today I have realised I'm not ready to be Queen... Thor please come here!"

Thor walked up to me and kneeled. "Hela?"

"As the Queen of Asgard I remove myself as Queen and order Thor Odinson, the true heir to take the throne!" I  handed Thor the staff. "Thor bring your loved one up here, make her Queen."

Thor stood up holding the staff. "Why, you are a wonderful Queen?" He asked.

"You are King... ALL HAIL THOR!" I announced.

Everyone in the room kneeled for Thor... He'll be a great King, he's wise, he's strong and it's his birth right!

I stood up and went to my Dad, I hugged him tightly. "What's your plan now?" He asked.

I looked at Rosabelle. "I think a holiday will be good," I stated and looked back at him. "Fancy taking a trip to Earth?"

My Dad frowned. "Why?" He asked.

"I need a break from here for a while, everywhere I go I just- I can't-" I stuttered.

"You can't stop thinking about Esmond," My Dad finished.

I nodded. "It'll only be for a while, I guess I could do with seeing the Avengers," I told him.

He kissed my head and hugged me. "Are you sure?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yes plus Thor will most likely come and get Jane," I told him.

"What you just did was wonderful," He admitted. "Your Mother would be so proud."

I smiled sadly. "I hope so," I whispered. "I guess Rosabelle and I better get ready for our trip!"

He frowned. "Your taking the child?" He asked.

I nodded. "I'm not leaving her here as an orphan!" I told him.

"Where will you take her?" He asked.

I smiled. "Somewhere magical!" I told him and made snow fall from the ceiling making everyone smile at it's beauty.

Every time I look at snow, I will forever remember my friend, my protector... Esmond!
