"Music, her favourite song, we need her favourite song," Ruby yelled, shoving everyone into Eddie's room to go through his cassettes.
"What the hell is this shit Eddie?" she yelled as she tossed piles of heavy metal cassettes on the ground.
"Hey be careful with those!" Eddie yelled back.
"Now is not the time to be arguing about this!" Robin joined in the yelling.
"Steve says you need to hurry!" Erica shouted as she pelted into the room, being of absolutely no help at all.
"Yeah? No shit!" Dustin returned angrily.
"We're trying. We can't find anything," Max shouted desperately.
"Yeah actually what is all this shit?" Robin shouted in frustration as she tossed more cassettes to the floor.
"What are you even looking for?" Eddie rasped.
"Madonna, Blondie, Bowie, Beatles? Music! We need music!" Robin yelled.
"This is music!" Eddie roared back.
"Oh Nance, oh my god," Ruby gasped as she ran back to the Gate to see if Nancy had broken out of her trance. She suddenly heard gasps, terrified from Nancy and relieved from Steve."
"Oh thank god," she broke down, tears of relief threatening to flood her eyes just as they'd done with Max.
"She's ok?" Max asked as she walked out from Eddie's room.
"Yeah. She's back," Ruby grinned and laughed nervously.
"It's good to be back in the real world isn't it," Max asked, a solemn look on her face.
"What?" Ruby asked in confusion. She suddenly noticed that a silence had descended in the ruckus of the caravan.
"It's a shame you aren't in it too," Max's voice turned gravelly.
"No," Ruby shook her head furiously, gasping in fear. "Please no."
Max took a step closer to her and shoved her hard into the floor. Ruby felt her back slam against the floor but it wasn't the carpet of the Munson's carpet but instead the jagged wasteland of Vecna's world.
"Shit, no no no," she gasped. "Fuck!" she yelled, distressingly running her hands through her hair.
Looking up at the sky it was if global warming had suffocated the planet. A thick red smog tied a noose across the sky and visibility was awful. Across the floor lay black jagged spikes and the debris of old destroyed buildings. It really was hell on Earth.
"Hello Ruby," the snarled voice came from behind her.
"No," she whispered in terror.
"Welcome back," the creature snarled, almost grinning at the fear etched across her face.
"Haven't you done enough to us?" Ruby whispered.
"Oh this is only the beginning. You and your friends are small insignificant parts of this. You are disposable," Vecna spoke as he stalked closer to the blonde who felt herself frozen in place, unable to move even when she tried to run.
"But we're the start of everything. Without us, you can't achieve more, can you?" Ruby gritted bravely.
"I can and will kill anyone I want. I don't need you," Vecna snarled.
"But you're not going to kill me. Are you?" Ruby's voice raised as anger flooded her veins, overtaking the fear. "Because I connect all your victims. Without me, everything changes. Without me, you lose Chrissy, you lose Max and hell, you even lose Jason."
