"We need Weapons, and stat," Ruby spoke firmly. Eddie slammed down a newspaper onto the table in front of her in response.
"Check this out. The War Zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically," he pointed to the ad at the bottom of the page as everyone crowded round him.
"You think fake Rambo has enough guns there? Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?" Robin scoffed at the how ridiculous the ad was, muscled a man holding multiple guns with the flag of America waving behind him. Classic.
Well, lucky for us it is, so... This... This place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks," Eddie murmered.
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone," Erica sassed.
"Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons. So I think it's worth the risk," Nancy sighed.
"She's right," Ruby nodded.
"But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back," Dustin scoffed in agitation.
"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie grinned mischievously.
"What you got some sort of car we don't know about?" Steve rolled his eyes.
"It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh... it'll do. Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie asked expectantly.
Max raised her eyebrows in response. 5 minutes later Eddie was leading a charge of the gang with a Michael Myers mask on his face. The gang hared past a family that were sat outside their trailer having breakfast and when Eddie jumped in through the window to open the door and let them all in, Ruby was beginning to think she'd committed more felonies in this week alone than she had her whole lifetime before.
"That was suffocating," Eddie gasped.
"How is any of this real life," Ruby laughed in disbelief to Max as the redhead sat down beside her.
"I don't think it is. I genuinely think we're trapped in some strange dream," Max shook her head madly.
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else though," Ruby said softly as she glanced down into Max's eyes that shone into her own.
"Likewise," Max grinned, a smile so dazzling that Ruby's heart fizzed like a sherbet love heart.
The peace was quickly disrupted by shouts from the family who's trailer they were about to steal and then obliterated by Steve screaming into the back.
"Everybody, hang on to something!"
"Oh my God! Let's go! Let's go!" Lucas yelled.
"Drive, Steve! Drive!" Dustin screamed as he peered out the back window to see the advancing couple.
"Steve driver faster!" Ruby shouted.
"Do you want me to kill them?" Steve shouted back in a stressed tone.
"Shit, they look pissed,' Dustin grimaced in fear.
"It's not every day you lose your house and car in one fell swoop," Robin winced.
"Hold on! Hold on!" Steve yelled as he swerved around the corner to exit the trailer park. The entire back seat were flung about like clothes in a washing machine and by some fortunate coincidence Max ended on Ruby's lap.
"Well hello," Ruby laughed.
"Sorry, sorry," Max blushed nervously.
"You know you can stay there if you want. I just don't think it would be great for road safety," Ruby grinned and winked. Max laughed and nodded, moving off the blonde and back onto the seat.
