part 10 : Are you the hero or villain?

It's night and so dark outside. The sky is overcast with heavy cloud. Sakura is still awake .She is walking and thinking about the culprit. Who was he? She is startled by lady choi's sudden enter:-

"Lady Choi, still awake?" Sakura asked.

"Yes, your highness. There's something you should know about that poison,You were right about it" Lady Choi replied with a serious tone.

"I knew it! But where is the servant who tested it?" Sakura inquired, growing more suspicious.

'she fled away. '

'Something is clearly fishy.. '

'Your highness, please be careful more. I think it's my fault. I should be with you that time and try that juice. What if you drunk it and..(emotional)

'Oww, lady choi. Never think to do that. I will die here without you and hinata.'

'(choi smiled)But there is one person who cares for you much more than we do'.

'really? Who?'

'His highness. I heard that he was very angry today. He starts searching the culprit. He even announced to give a big amount of money if someone could find out that fugitive royal servant.'

'I told him not to interfere. '

'Your highness, there is something going on between you too.(in a calm, teasing tone)'

'yeah, hate from past life. '

'(choi chuckled) I think you like him too'

'I...I... I don't like him' (←she is blushing)

'really?'

'uhh...Anyways, you must be tired. Go, get a good sleep..'

'Yeah, but don't go out alone again.'

'okay, okay. I understand '

(Lady choi left)

I'll wait until midnight and look for a clue. I am pretty sure the main culprit is from the palace. Who was he? What's the reason behind what he did? Is that connected to Mizuki Sakura?

(Haruki's palace)

Haruki is very angry. How did his plan get failed? Sakura is acting totally different than before. Can she remember everything and act like a memory loss problem in order to expose his conspiracy? Haruki decided that he won't wait more.Gripping a small, sharp knife, he stepped out of his room.

(Sakura's pov)

I checked almost every place. Now, it's time to check Hayato's place. As I stand in front of his hall, I start thinking 'Can Hayato do this things? ' That innocent look he gave me, those words he said to me can't be lie? Can it? He is not that bad.

(Suddenly someone put his hand on my shoulder, I shivered and looks back)

"Prince Haruki? What are you doing here?" Sakura asked, surprised.

"Shouldn't I ask you the same question, my queen? It's almost midnight," Haruki replied, his tone was sharp.

Unsure how to respond, Sakura stuttered, "Well... I just... Um... I came to return to Hayato.

""What is it?" Haruki pressed.

"A pen... I borrowed it from him," Sakura improvised, her nerves betraying her.

"Where is the pen then?" Haruki asked, not letting go.

Sakura hesitated, then admitted, "I... I forgot it in the palace. I should go back."

Haruki grabbed her wrist gently but firmly. "You're not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on," he demanded, showing her a hairpin with a sinister smile.

In her mind, Sakura panicked. She had discarded that hairpin; its presence meant Haruki knew something. Could he be...?no.. It can't be true

"Is that yours, my queen?" Haruki asked knowingly, his eyes glinting.

Taking the hairpin, Sakura forced a smile. "Yes, it's mine. Thank you for returning it."

Concern flashed across Haruki's face. "It's not safe for the future queen to wander alone at night. This palace can be dangerous for a queen to be.

"Spinning the hairpin deftly in her hand, Sakura retorted with a smirk, "This queen knows how to protect herself. But shouldn't you take your own advice, Prince Haruki?

"Haruki's expression softened slightly, betraying a hint of fear. "What do you mean?"

(Suddenly Hayato came out of his room,breaking the standoff, looking at them.)

Hayato : What are you two doing here in midnight?

Sakura : umm..well.. I came here to return you a pen, which I borrowed from you.

Hayato: A pen? When did you..

Sakura : Ahm..you forgot? That pen I borrowed from you yesterday. Remember.. (Hint on her voice)

Hayato : (feels a little suspicious, but he knows that sakura knows what she is doing) Oh, yeah. Give it to me then.

Sakura : I will return it later . Good night, have a nice sleep . Bye (run away)

Hayato : (mumble) Strange! Why did she even come? (Looks at Haruki) Why did you come for?

Haruki : Oh, I need to discuss about something. Shall we go inside?

Hayato : Sure (hayato looks back for the last time, walks inside)

they disappeared into his hall, leaving behind an air thick with unresolved tension and unanswered questions.
