Zander and I finally returned to school and went to our classrooms. After a few minutes of being in class, two police officers entered the room and told the teacher that they needed me to come with them. I plastered a frown on my face as i slowly gathered my things. I slumped my shoulders as I walked to the front of the class. The officers and I began walking through the hallways.

"Ms. Lisa Johnston?" I nodded. "We've come to inform you that your step-father is dead......... As is your mother."

"What?! No...... That can't be! I talked to my mother earlier today!" I exclaimed.

The officer who spoke to me patted my shoulder. "Ms. Lisa, you have to understand that this...... This may be a serial killer on the loose."

I forced out tears and began running away from the officers. I was attempting to make it seem as though I were trying to deny the truth. That I didn't want to face the fact that my family was gone. That I didn't think that it could be possible.

I stood next to the body of my mother. I glanced across the room, the the area to which her heart had been discarded. Mary really did a number on her. I smirked to myself as I walked into the other room where my step-father's body lay motionless before me. I walked back to where the officers were standing. "Why would anyone want to kill them?" I asked, sniffling.

"I don't know, but I promise you, we will find whoever did this and they will pay for what they have done to your family."

I nodded. "Thank you, officer. Uhmm.... Where will I be staying now?"

"The police chief has offered to let you live with him for the time being. He has two children around your age, so he's used to having teenagers live with him."

"What about his wife?"

"She died three years ago."

"Oh. Alright, uhmm...... I'm going to pack some things," I told the officer.

"Alright, I'll be waiting in the living room for you until you are ready," he informed me before leaving me in my room to pack my things.

I rushed to my closet to get my two suitcases. I opened them up and set them on my bed. Then I went to my dressers and pulled out all my books and a bunch of clothes. I made sure to grab my candles, a few lighters, and a handheld mirror and put them into my purse. I double checked that I had my purse, backpack, and two suitcases before I went to the living room and told the officer that I was ready.

---At the Police Chief's House---

I was led to a room and was instructed to unpack my belongings and organize them neatly in the room. I hid the candles, lighters, mirror, and book of enchantments under the bed. I would call upon Mary later.

I walked down the stairs and was greeted by the police chief and his two sons. Twin sons, that is. I glanced at them briefly before saying that I was going to go to sleep and that I was tired.

"Aren't you hungry?" one of the boys asked.

"Not really....... Not after......... Nevermind," I said. I turned around and went back to my room. I laughed slightly before stifling the giggles. I reached under the bed and took out the small mirror. Opening it up I said, "Demons and darkened souls, bring her to me. Let me speak to the one who has helped me. Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary."

The mirror cracked a bit before restoring itself and showing me Mary. "Well done. I'm proud of the way that you killed my mother."

Mary laughed. "Yes. I quite enjoyed it. Is there anything else that you require of me right now, Lisa?" she asked.

"Well, I'm not living in my house currently, so things might get a bit difficult for our plans. There are two people that I need you to exterminate as soon as you can. Katarina Williams and Andrew Lindens."

"Is that all, Lisa?"

"For now, Mary. but you need to do it quick. Make sure that their bodies won't be found easily."

Mary nodded and faded out of the mirror. I slid the mirror back under the bed and laid down, sighing.

Two soft knocks sounded from the door. I opened my eyes and looked at the door and said, "Enter." I closed my eyes before whoever it was entered my room and shut the door behind them.

"I brought you some fruit in case you wanted something small to eat. You should keep up your strength," someone said. It sounded like one of the chief's sons. I opened my eyes to look at him.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"I'm David. The older twin. My brother is Josiah."

I nodded. "So, how can I tell you two apart?"

David laughed. "I'm the nerd and Joe's the musician. He's always humming or listening to music and I'm always on my laptop or reading comics."

I smiled. "Thanks for the fruit. I might eat some later."

David smiled and set the fruits down on the bedside table. "I'll leave you alone, then. Have a good night, uhmm...."

"Lisa."

"Good night, Lisa."
