(Lisa's POV)
I sat at the dining room table between David and Josiah. I had learned to tell the difference between them after observing the way they spoke and acted. They were absolutely nothing alike, as I had thought they would be.
After dinner, I went upstairs and took out my handheld mirror. "Demons of the abyss, bring her to me. Summon her for me. I need to know if the deed has been accomplished. Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary."
The lights flickered and instead of Mary appearing in the mirror, she appeared standing in front of me. "You called upon me, Lisa?"
"Yes, Mary. I need to know. Are they dead? Are Katarina and Andrew dead?"
"Yes. There bodies are two states away from here. You don't need to worry about them coming back to haunt you anytime soon. Oh, forgive the pun."
I laughed. "Thank you, Mary. But, the family that I'm living with is getting suspicious of me being here all the time. I think that you really need to keep an eye out for that David boy. If he gets near, get rid of him."
Mary nodded. "They are approaching. I'll take my leave, maiden." And with that, Mary disappeared.
David knocked twice and entered the room. "Were you talking to someone in here?" he asked me. I shook my head.
"I was just...... Saying a short prayer for my parents."
"Oh. Do you want me to leave you to pray?"
"No. I wrapped it up before you entered. But thank you, David."
He nodded. "Uhmm..... My father asked me to tell you that tomorrow he's going out of town for a while. My brother and I are to take care of you while he's not here."
"Okay. That's fine. Where is your father going?"
"He wouldn't tell me any details about it. I think that it might be something to do with his work, but I can't be too sure about it all. He doesn't usually tell Joe or me about his work."
"Oh. Alright, then," I said. "I'm going to try to get some sleep. I'm a bit tired right now."
"Okay, I'll leave you to rest."
I sighed once David had left. Slumping onto the bed, I thought about where the chief would be going. They couldn't have found the bodies, could they? If they had, I might have to get rid of this family, too.
---Time Skip---
(Mary's POV)
Lisa had asked me to watch over the family she was living with, but more specifically, the twin boys. I sighed as I gazed at them through the other side of the mirror. One of them fascinated me whenever I observed him. He seemed so kind, it nearly sickened me. Though at the same time, it made me feel almost happy.
I shook away the 'feelings' that had. They would only destroy me if I didn't ignore them.
I looked around where I was. The other side of the mirror. A dark place. Mirrors were reflections, but they were also the opposite. And I was in a dark version of the boys' room. I leaned across the dresser to attempt to get a better look at the boys. They were sitting next to each other playing a board game.
I stared at them. They both had brown hair and green eyes. Both had toned bodies. I smirked. It would be simple to charm them...... Not that I would want to, though. I leaned away from the mirror as one of the boys walked towards it.
"David? What's up?" the sitting one asked.
"I thought I saw someone. I must have been imagining it, though," David replied. I stared into his eyes and smirked.
'Not many people can see me when I don't mean for them to. I'm surprised by this boy. What's so different about him that about other boys that I've known?' I wondered to myself. I made that my new task; Find out more about this boy.
