You walk through your high school, having been around for a over week now. Within the next week, you'll be able to walk without your crutches. And, of course, something had to go wrong before you're able to move without needing the crutches. You bump into another person, falling onto your ass.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry! I didn't see where I was go- wow, you're really pretty." A tall boy with chocolatey brown eyes and matching fluffy brown hair was standing over you, looking down at you. "Are you, miss?" He hold his hand out to pull you up.

You happily allow him to help you up, regaining control of your crutches and balancing yourself. "Thank you. I'm fine, just was inconvenienced since I need my crutches for another week."

"I'm so sorry. By the way, what injury do you have that makes you need them?" He points at your crutches.

"Oh, I was playing volleyball and tore my ACL. So now, I'm working up the courage to fill out an application to become the manager for the boys' volleyball team. I'm L/n Y/n, by the way." You hold out your hand for a handshake.

He happily takes your hand, shaking your hand briefly before letting go. "Well, you're in luck. I'm Oikawa Toru: the captain and starting setter for the boys' volleyball team here. Nice to meet you. Oh, are you a first year? I don't think I've seen you before."

You nod, giving a soft smile to him. "Yeah, I'm a first year. It's nice to meet you too, Oikawa-senpai. Mind helping me get the form so I can fill it out and give it back to your coach?"

Oikawa nods, leading you through the school and helping you out with stairs. "Of course. It's my absolute pleasure to help a cutie like you out. And, I'll be getting the cutest manager ever out of this! There's no way I wouldn't be kind and help you out. You can always come to me if you need anything. I'll even come pick you up after class. Which class are you in?"

"Class 4."

The brunette grins. "You must be pretty smart then."

"I'd like to think I'm average intelligence."

Oikawa chuckles. "So modest. I think we hit the jackpot in the manager department. You also said you play, so you know the sport well. I couldn't even think to ask for anyone more fit to be our manager."

You let out a light chuckle. "I see." You begin filling out the form, smiling as you hand it back to the coach of the team. You walk back through the halls to your classroom with the third year boy. "I really appreciate you helping me."

"It's nothing. I actually-"

"HEY, OIKAWA! WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?! I'VE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR YOU!" Where there is Oikawa, there is also an angry Iwaizumi. The ace of the team was storming over to where you stood with Oikawa.

The setter gave a nervous smile to his friend. "Iwa-chan! I met this little cutie, you see. She's a first year and has filled out the form to be our manager from here on out. I was only helping the poor girl. Please don't hit me!"

Iwaizumi retracted his fist, his eyes landing on you. "Hi, I'm Iwaizumi Hajime. I'm a third year, the ace and vice captain of the volleyball team. Nice to meet you."

You smile at him, feeling somewhat intimidated. "L/n Y/n, former volleyball player. Nice to meet you as well, Iwaizumi-senpai. I'll be seeing you at practice today."

Iwaizumi nodded. "Actually - let me and Oikawa help you get to class. Wait - did you say former volleyball player?"

You nod, walking back to your class with the two third year boys helping you out. "Yeah. At nationals last year, in my third year of middle school, I tore my ACL and was told not to play anymore. So, I want to be your manager now. I thought I could help you guys out, even though it'll be another week before I can walk on my own again. This week, I'll be doing light work, but I'll give everything I've got to help to the best of my abilities."

The ace nods, sending you a kind smile. "That's fine. Just don't push yourself too hard at practices."

Oikawa agrees with him. "You need to focus on your health first. We can handle having you just sit in on practice this week. We wouldn't want you to get hurt, or anything." He sends a wink your way, trying to remain playful and upbeat.

You laugh at his antics. "You're funny, senpai. I'm already looking forward to spending more time with you. Ah, this is my class. I'll see you two after school."

The setter waves at you. "Iwa-chan and I will come to pick you up, so don't leave your class before we get here."

Iwaizumi waved, a small smile on his face. "See you later, L/n."

The two boys walk away. Soon the bell rings, and the rest of your classes play out.

"Y/n-chan~!" Oikawa appears in the doorway of your classroom.

Several of your classmates begin to murmur. "Oh my god! That's Oikawa-senpai!"

"What's he doing here?"

"He's here for L/n?"

"Man! She's so lucky to have someone like Oikawa-senpai come here for her!"

You shyly stand up from your seat, slinging your bag over your shoulder. You walk over to the door, noticing that both of the third years you met earlier are waiting for you to join them. "Hello again, Oikawa-senpai, Iwaizumi-senpai."

Iwaizumi moves Oikawa down the hallway, making sure you had enough room to walk. "Hello, L/n. I hope Oikawa didn't embarrass you with his loud mouth."

"You're so mean to me, Iwa-chan!" The setter whined as he kept getting pushed towards the club room by his ace.

You shake your head. "It's not a big deal. I just didn't expect my classmates to react the way they did. They seem to know you well, Oikawa-senpai."

The brunette happily looks over at you, managing to get out of the other boy's grasp. "I'm pretty well known, even outside of this school. I'm the best setter in the prefecture, and girls tend to go crazy over me. Though, that does cause problems. And I apologize if I bring you any unwanted attention, Y/n-chan. Wherever I go, there will always be people staring."

Iwaizumi grumbled beside you. "Can't get a break from all his fan girls. They come from all over the prefecture, and some of them are completely insane."

You hum. "I see. Well, I'll try to stay away from those girls. And, I'll be completely honest with you both right now, I don't intend to get into a relationship with anyone on this team. There's someone I like, but he goes to a different school."

Oikawa's brows raise to his forehead. "Oh? Could you tell me more about this boy?"

Iwaizumi hit him upside his head. "Don't pry into her personal life! You just met her today, don't think you have the right to know everything that goes on in her life!"

"Sorry! You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to, Y/n-chan! STOP HITTING ME IWA-CHAN!"

You chuckle, already enjoying the company of the new people. You felt like things were gonna be alright now. You were looking forward to working with the boys on the volleyball team.
