Kawanishi texted you once again, making sure everything was really happening. He still couldn't believe that he would be spending the whole day with Oikawa. He'd rather be with you, but you asked him to do this for you and he couldn't say no. Even though he really wanted to. After the incident at finals, Kawanishi wanted nothing to do with Aoba Johsai's setter. Yet, somehow he let you talk him into this arrangement. He made sure that this was really going to happen, that you really wanted this. And you kept confirming that Oikawa would show up and let your boyfriend speak whenever he wanted.

Oikawa was reluctant to leave his house. It took a call from you to demand he keep his end of the deal to get the setter to actually head to the park you told the boys to meet each other. Even Iwaizumi forced him to actually go and talk with your boyfriend. Oikawa dragged his feet as he walked towards the meeting place. He dreaded every moment of this. He knew he would have to keep himself in check. Oikawa wanted nothing to do with anyone from Shiratorizawa, so this was really going to get on his nerves. But he promised you, so he has to do it.

The two boys just stop and stare at each other. Neither one of them was smiling. In fact, it looked as if they were getting ready to fight each other right in the middle of the park, where children were running around and playing with each other. These two high schoolers looked out of place. They were two angry looking teenagers in the middle of a place where happiness bloomed.

Kawanishi sighed, breaking the tense silence. "Look, Oikawa, I don't want to be here with you anymore than you. Y/n asked me to do this for her, to teach you a lesson. I'll act civil, just to not upset the girl I've been in love with for my whole life. But I need you to put in some effort. I will be telling Y/n everything that happens today."

Oikawa groaned. "Fine. You're better than Ushiwaka, anyways. I guess you're the one person from Shiratorizawa I can try to act civil with. You're probably the best out of everyone at that school. Hopefully."

Your boyfriend forced a smile onto his face. "So, I heard you apologized for being an absolute to the best person in this whole world. I'm glad you're a big enough person to realize you're on the wrong and to try correcting your mistakes."

Oikawa's brow twitched. 'He's already pissing me off.' "Yes, well, I care very deeply about Y/n-chan. I felt bad for lashing out at her. I want to make things right to the person I care most for."

This annoyed the middle blocker for some reason. "How exactly do you care for her? Only as a friend and manager, right?"

The setter didn't look at the younger male. "You'd think that. But no. You're not the only person that can fall in love with Y/n-chan, you know."

Now Kawanishi was pissed off. "You can't love her."

"Says who? Last I checked, she's not property. I can love her, I just can't act on those feelings. She may be with someone from Shiratorizawa, but I still respect her feelings and the fact that she's taken. If I couldn't steal her away before, then there's probably no chance for me unless you and her break up." He spoke as if this was common knowledge.

"We're not breaking up. EVER."

Oikawa rolled his eyes. "If you say so. Don't come crying to me when your relationship fails."

Kawanishi paused, taking deep breaths. He promised you he'd get along with your setter. "Look, let's move away from that topic. It's clearly gonna make things horrible for both of us if we talk about feelings for her. I'm going to remain civil, so what else would you like to talk about?"

Oikawa hummed, knowing he had the power to ask for any information he desired. "What was Y/n-chan like before coming to Aoba Johsai?"

Your boyfriend stiffened. He didn't expect you to remain the topic of conversation. "Y/n is pretty much the same as she's always been. The only difference is that she doesn't play volleyball anymore. She was a wing spiker, the ace of her team, and was probably the best player on any team she was on. If I had to say what she was like as a player, she was similar to you. She could bring a whole team together, and get the best of a person to come out."

Oikawa smiles, the two boys walking through the park together. "I knew there must've been a good reason she and I get along so well. I didn't know we were so similar. How did she end up with you, if she and I were made from the same cloth?"

Kawanishi gritted his teeth. "Sometimes opposites attract."

"So you admit it. You and Y/n-chan are nothing alike. How did you two even become friends in the first place?"

The middle blocker sighs. "We were the only children living on the street our houses are on. We live next door and always spent time together. We actually grew to be best friends, and I introduced her to volleyball one day. She loved it and kept playing as long as she was able to."

Oikawa cut in. "Until she tore her ACL in her third year of middle school. I don't care much about the things I already know. I want to learn something new about her."

Kawanishi clenched his hands into fists at his sides. "Fine. What about her do you want to know?"

"Is she a good kisser?"

"Why should I answer that?!"

The setter shrugged. "Maybe so that I let Y/n-chan know you were actually talking to me, instead of brushing off my every attempt to hold a conversation with you."

Kawanishi groaned, stopping himself from screaming. "Fine. She's the best kisser."

"Knew it. Is she any good with sex?"

"Too far!"
