𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 late morning came, the majority of the group decided to go outside and devise a strategy for cleaning up the yard and improving the security of our main entrance.

"We'll start with a few cars here first. Then we can work our way back towards the dog run. See if we can't clean this place up. Make it better for us to stay long-term." Rick pointed out the two cars to the right of them. Then he nodded over towards another car close by.

"It's gonna be a long day." T-Dog scanned the yard, seeing the work that would hold their day hostage.

Maggie piped in, trying to make it not sound as awful. "We'll be happy when it's done."

"Where's Nate? We could use the help." Carol glanced around the group. "He's not still mad at me for Jamie helping with Hershel, right?"

"You're kidding, right? You nearly shot him in the leg yesterday and he didn't even say a word. Plus he let you keep the gun. He can't stay mad at you."
Glenn told her partially to make her feel better but also because it was true.

"It was the foot and I apologized." She corrected him with a soft smile. Both hands found her hips while waiting for her answer.

"He's up in the guard tower." Daryl gestured to the top of the structure, attracting Rick's attention.

"Guard tower?" He said puzzled, taking a look for himself. "They were just up there last night."

"Surprised you're surprised." Danny chuckled and patted Rick on the back. "He's your brother, you should've guessed it."

Maggie peered up to the tower, shielding her eyes from the brightness. "They didn't waste any time. She told me that when Nate returned from cell block D yesterday, Dad gave him his blessing."

"Now that is surprising." Danny glance up much like everyone else was.

"Almost as bad as you and Glenn sneaking off." Rick stated with amusement.

"Please tell me you don't all go to the same spot." Carol supplied a motherly but grossed-out tone.

"No, we do not use the tower. We go—." Glenn began to respond, but Maggie gave him a shut up look.

"Shit. Nathan Grimes in a relationship?" Danny's amazement prompted Glenn to crack a joke. "Only took till the end of the world."
He really was one of the boys now.

"Nate!" Daryl yelled out.

"Nate!" Daryl yelled out
