The fortress came into sight just across an open field.

As the group approached, centaurs began to line up along the entryway. They drew their swords and used them to form an archway for the royals to walk through.

The six royals paused to take in the sight before them. The Pevensies including Genevieve who was back to walking beside her father began walking down the path. Caspian stayed behind to allow the kings and queens (and princess) of old their moment, besides they were all of a higher rank to him anyways. He and the other Narnians began walking too after a short while.

As she passed, Lucy saw a young centaur, not much older than Genevieve, who was holding his sword a bit too low. The man beside him reached down and lifted the boy's arm to allow the young queen to go under. She smiled happily at the two.

Inside the fortress—which they learned was called Aslan's How—creatures of all sorts were making weapons.

Caspian saw the look on the Pevensies faces and said, "it may not be what you are used to, but it is defensible."

"Peter," Susan called from a little ways ahead. "You may want to see this."

The Pevensies all gathered in the room Susan had called them from. They saw that the walls were lined with carvings from their Golden Age. There was one of Susan and Lucy riding on Aslan's back on their way to the Witch's castle. Another showed their coronation. Yet another had Mr. Tumnus standing next to a lamp post.

Genevieve pulled Edmund over to a set of two carvings. One depicted Edmund and Jacqueline's wedding. The other showed Genevieve receiving her crown with her parents standing beside her. Edmund's heart raced when he saw them. He was touched that the Narnians had deemed his wedding important enough to document on the wall of a fortress.

"It's us," Susan stated in shock.

"What is this place?" Lucy asked Caspian.

"You don't know?" He seemed surprised. He grabbed a torch off the wall and led the siblings plus Gen into a dark unlit room. He walked to a large basin filled with oil and dipped his torch into it. The flames spread through the basin which lined the room, lighting the room. Carvings of Narnians were revealed along the walls. At the very center was a carving of a lion. Aslan. The stone structures around the room looked familiar to Susan and Lucy. At the center of the room was the stone table that had been cracked when Aslan gave his life to spare Edmund and Jacqueline.
