"So, what food did you find?" Caspian asked Reep and his men.

"It's volcanic, your majesty," Rhince informed him. "Not much grows."

Lucy glanced around at the men loading the boat. "Where's Eustace?" She asked.

"I believe he's out, not helping us load the boats," Reep replied snarkily.

"Eustace!" Lucy called. "Eustace!" The only response was steam hissing. She turned to her brother. "Edmund, I've got a bad feeling."

"I'll go find him," he replied, not to happy to need to be taking the time to search for his annoying cousin when he could be making up with his wife.

"I'll come with you," Caspian offered.

"We want to come!" The twins said in unison.

"It's very creepy when they do that," Tavros muttered to the man next to him.

"I don't know boys, it could be dangerous. You'll have to ask your mother," Ed told them.

"Your father's right boys, it could be quite dangerous. I don't know if I like the idea of you boys getting hurt," Jacqueline replied. They gave her their best pleading looks. "Oh, fine! Gosh, you're as bad as your dad with those eyes. But you have to promise to stick by Caspian and your father, alright?"

The boys cheered and raced off ahead of the two men.

"Hey! I thought your mum said to stick with us!" Caspian called after them. They groaned and stopped running, waiting for Caspian and Edmund to catch up. Caspian handed Lucy the sword they'd collected and the two were off.

Jacqueline looked at her daughter who was still by her side. "Any reason why you didn't want to go with them, my angel?"

Genevieve just shook her head and hugged her mother tightly. "I wanna spend some time with you," she answered as she nuzzled her face into her mother's chest.

Jacqueline pulled her closer and used her hand to smooth her daughter's hair. "I'm sorry you got scared by what happened today, darling. I love you so much." She kissed the young girl on the head and they headed back to the ship with Lucy.
