Gael was the first awake the following morning. She sat up and gasped at what she saw.

"Lucy. Genevieve, wake up," she nudged the two girls beside her.

Lucy sat up first. Genevieve, like her mother, was not a morning person, and like her father, she could sleep through most things. Lucy gasped at what she saw as well.

"Genevieve, get up!" She whispered harshly.

"What?" The teen groaned, trying to cover her face from the daylight.

"The Blue Star. Everybody!" Lucy hurriedly tried to wake everyone.

"What? What is it?" Reep asked. He hadn't gotten as much sleep as the others since he'd stayed awake telling stories to the boys beside him.

"Everybody, wake up. It's the Blue Star."

Edmund woke up before his wife. He and Caspian shot up around the same time. He leaned down and kissed his wife's cheek, dodging as she tried to smack him away.

"Eddie," she groaned. "What do you want?"

"Jackie, love, wake up. They've spotted the Blue Star. Come on, you can sleep more back on the ship."

"Come on, old boy, wake up," Reep woke the dragon sleeping next to him. Eustace snorted.

They quickly loaded the boats and set sail toward the Blue Star. Eustace flew alongside the ship.

Lucy stood at the back of the ship, watching the niads swim. She grew concerned when the woman made of water began mouthing to her that they should stop and not go any further. She turned to her sister-in-law.

"Do you think you could talk to her and see what she means?"

"I would, but she's already swimming away. The experience back at the island really took it out of me. I don't know if I'd be able to catch up with her then make it to the ship on time. I'm sorry, Lulu."

Up on the main deck, and below decks, the crew were struggling to get the ship moving.

"The wind has left us," Drinian informed the two kings.
