                                                                                            Reality
John Blackmore took a deep breath and with more than a hint of scepticism he walked down the hill to the edge of Providence, or in fact where it should be. People were scrambling around intentionally avoiding one another. "Good morning Bernard" he said to the proprietor of the Green Grocers Store. "What are you up to this fine morning? "And good morning to you John, have you fully recovered from last nights goings on. I have just collected these fresh rolls and bread from Agatha the baker. My God that poor woman is so busy" John looked at his hands and arms, they were indeed in the pushing of a barrow position, but there was no barrow. Emily Rutherford rushed across what seemed to be a street with her two under ten children, one in each hand. "Sorry I can't stop" she said, "They are late for school" He watched as she suddenly stopped and motioned opening a door. "Sorry Miss Collins Gracie had a little accident this morning" "No problem Emily" replied the teacher "We have not fully begun our lessons. John Blackmore could see the Teacher. He also counted thirteen children in a seated position, but there were no tables and chairs. "What is going on here? he asked himself, as he turned left and headed down the well trod main road. He reflected on something that Galan had said regarding the size and capacity of the Towns. When first seen they seemed  much larger, but by now had shrunk to resembling  two small villages, but no one had noticed. Everyone said good morning, everyone functioned as they functioned every day. "Are you working on the new Church today" shouted Mbeki Omani. "When do you expect to be finished? He was leaning from a window in a wall that wasn't there. "I am trying to resolve the matter of Murdo Mclean's death Mbeki, I am sure I will be there tomorrow" said John still staring at the strange phenomenon. There was one more theory to try out. John Blackmore walked towards the Butcher's Store. Betsy the Butchers wife was standing where the door should be. "Bacon for your breakfast John" she said, and as she turned to enter the shop John walked through what should have been the window, and was waiting for her by the non existing counter. "Enough for the day, my mind is frazzled. I need more words with Galan if he truly exists? He thought heading for New Horizons. As he entered the Ship to be greeted by his family Galan appeared from nowhere. "What are your thoughts? he asked. "Confusion" answered John, "Am I wrong and 499 people are right? "What can I do to convince you I wonder? said Galan. "If I told you that back on your Planet Earth they are losing the battle with Climate Change far more quickly than expected. Now I can give you a Formula which will slow the progress by 50% within four Earth months, this will allow a further three hundred years to find a solution. I can tinker with time but cannot change there Destiny as you will be destroyed by moving ever closer to your Sun. This is the way of the Universes" "I think that would convince me Galan" answered John. Galan began, "Feed this Formula into your Computer" and he rhymed of a sequence of letters and numbers completely alien to John. "Tell Hector to deliver this Formula to Professor Agnes Roberts at Dundee University in Scotland. She will understand what it means and deliver her findings to the up-coming Climate Change Conference in Paris. When they have delivered the Formula into the Atmosphere it will disappear from their minds. As I have said I cannot change Destiny" "You only need to convert a few John" said Ivana Blackmore, "There are leaders and followers in any walk of life. But you must discount the "Have's" who have plenty, or should I say , who think they have plenty. For they will not easily welcome change, just be thoughtful in your choices" The following morning John Blackmore returned to Providence. On the 90 minute walk there were insects and small animals scurrying all around him. This made him even more confident in his mission. He had decided not to disclose the existence of Galan, he would only invite a chosen few to join him and Ivana for a meal and a discussion on how things were progressing. His first port of call was Mbeki Omani who he classed as a quiet influencer. With no hesitation he agreed saying, "A good idea John things are getting out of hand" Otto Van Brugger, the once elected leader of the 500, but now  at the age of only forty, a disillusioned cut out of the man he once was. At first he was reluctant, in his mind there was nowhere to go. "Otto" said John Blackmore, "Please believe in me as I once believed in you. I have things to show and tell you that will blow your mind. All I ask is one night on New Horizon" He must have recognized a truth in John's eyes, agreeing without hesitation. Bernard and Betsy Truman the proprietors of the Butcher's shop. Every adult over eighteen would visit their store at least once a week. They were humble grounded people who were classed with the "Have's" but had no elusions of grandeur. They asked no questions, simply agreeing to come. On to Origen. Bjorn Christensen the Farmer, although never a friend to John Blackmore, he needed someone who could speak with the farming community which had risen to around fifty strong, and in the new beginnings would be vital to there success. It was only with the forcefulness of his wife Ingrid who was at her wits end with all of the fighting and the death of their friend Murdo Mclean, that he agreed to attend. Last on his hit list was Koshi Nakamura, the groups senior Doctor. John explained that he had plans to unite both divisions and create a Hospital within New Horizons. This was something Koshi had hoped for on their arrival. He was in. By 6pm that same evening John Blackmore, Ivana and their six invited guests took their places at the table. Two were nervous, six not realising what was to come.
