I wanted to come. I longed to be there, to watch you shine brighter than any star in the night sky. I want to join the crowd of people cheering for you and witnessing how talented and great you could be. I've watched you perform a few times, and each time I'm falling more deeply in a way that I can't explain.
You know what? I'm a huge fan of art, but music... I wasn't really fond of it until I heard you sing. It feels like the universe has orchestrated a symphony just for me. I never knew how much a single melody could define a person until I met you.
I wish I could capture that moment in a bottle, so I could hold it close and relive it whenever the weight of my world became too much to carry, just like what I'm feeling right now. But don't worry, it's fine. I'll be fine.
Tonight is your moment. I'm sure it is, and I don't want to ruin it. I know you'll do great in your performance, love. With or without me.
I'm sorry I didn't make it.
Even if you wanted me to.
