Chapter 6

"Attention all customers, we're closing down in 5 minutes," Joseph an employee of Dominos Pizza and Coldstone ice-cream, says.

"What's going on", Khadijah another employee asks.

"Mr. Williams the manager, requests to see all of us, we're going to have a meeting when the customers leave", Joseph says.

The customers leave and then only the employees are left.

"The manager has requested to see all of us, so let's go", Joseph says as they follow him to the managers office.

"You may all have a seat", Mr. Williams offers.

They all seat, and are waiting to hear what all this is about.

"There's something that has been going on for a long time, but I won't tolerate it anymore." Mr. William says furiously.

The employees look at themselves confused, except for Joseph who knows what's going on.

"But sir, what do you mean, we don't understand", Khadijah asks curious.

"There's someone among you who has been stealing the money made by this organisation. Today that thief will be exposed", Mr. William says.

They all look at each other suspecting themselves.

"Joseph go get all their bags, they need to be searched," Mr. William orders.

Joseph goes to do what he's told.

"Ms Halima Mukhtar, do you have any idea who's doing all this. You're my must trusted employee besides Joseph." Mr. William asks.

"No sir I don't. But who ever the person is, he/she will be exposed today," Aaira says to him with and assuring look.

Joseph comes back holding every one's bag including his.

"Joseph why did you bring your bag as well", Mr. William asks.

"I am also an employee aren't I sir," Joseph says.

"See bro, I trust you, aren't you my brother. I know you could never do anything of that such." Mr. William says to Joseph.

"No, I want to be searched as well, am also an employee. It won't be fair to the others." Joseph says.

"Ok as you wish," Mr. William says.

Joseph starts checking his bags first. He pours all his belongings on the floor. He continues to search all the bags and then Aairas bag is the last. He empties her bag and is surprised to see alot of money inside. He looks at her in shock.

"Halima you, yo... yo... you're behind all this," Joseph looks at her ashamed.

"What do you mean, Joseph am not, I promise am not. Someone's trying to frame me." Aaira says trying to prove her innocence.

All the employees are shocked.

"Ms. Mukhtar, I never imagined this from you. I trusted you, I thought you couldn't do something of this such." Mr William says banging his hand on the table.

"I didn't steal sir, I promise I didn't steal,"Aaira crys.

"If you didn't steal then explain why you have 2.5 million in your bag," Khadijah says.

"Please believe me I didn't steal", Aaira continues to cry.

"Enough Ms. Mukhtar, Enough. Admit you stole it, just admit and stop pretending.", Mr. William says scratching his head furiously.

"I didn't do it sir, please believe me", Aaira crys.

"But sir, why will Halima do this. Till today she's your most faithful and favourite employee. Sir, she never disobeys you and does everything you say. She also makes the best pizza and ice-cream as well." Abubakar says.
