Chapter 10~Breaking the curse

(Kayden what the hell happened to you!?)

As i stood frozen in spot kayden looked different it was not the him i knew, he turned and walked towards me.

"The kayden is no more cat i have full control over his body"

A voice spoke which was not kayden's at all, it then lunged at great speed towards me and swung the sword luckily i managed to dodge it.

Once getting enough distances my body began to glow, so did the crystal as well feeling the light energy inside of me i unleashed a powerful light shaped as spears and sent them flying towards kayden.

"Ha ha ha is that the best you can do"

A barrier formed around him as the spears hit the barrier, they rebounded heading back towards me.

(I don't think so!)

Managing to dodge them once again i dashed towards kayden well the being who was controlling his body.

(It ends here now!)

Jumping over the sword and taking my claws out i clinged to him, then bit into his neck tightly as it screamed in agony.

"Why you pitiful speck of dust!"

(Eat this asshole!)

A burst of light shot into the wound and created a explosion, i managed to landed safely away and waited.

The smoke dispersed and my eyes widened, the being who was controlling kayden was covered in black armour.

"Now you have done it!"

With anger it held it sword high in the air, gathering the energy around it the sword glowed brightly then the being swung down the sword.

(Oh shit!)

A burst of red energy beam headed by way, i managed to create a barrier but once it hit the barrier it shattered and i was sent flying across the ground.

(*Coughs and pants*)

The footsteps were getting closer until it stopped infront of me, the being smirked then raised his sword with two hands.

"It ends here for you"

Making a stabbing motion i closed my eyes, but then all of a sudden i heard metal clashing as i opened my eyes lucas was fighting the being who was controlling kayden's body.

(L.. lucas.. get out of here..)

Staggering to get up i could see lucas was losing, with his might lucas tried to hang on but he was sent flying across the ground.

"Hmph humans are such weaklings"

He laughed then walked over to lucas and raised it's sword, gathering the energy once again he swung it down.

(N.. no LUCAS!!!)

A bright burst of light shot out of the crystal and managed to block the attack, he looked over at me and smirked with quick speed he dashed over then grabbed me by the neck holding me up in the air.

"Any last words kitty cat hehehehe"

(Kayden.. i promise i will set you free please hang in there)

***Kayden's P.O.V. ***

  As i opened my eyes once i came around i noticed everything was dark, i tried to move my body but as i noticed chains of darkness was wrapped around me.

"Ah i see you have woken up just in time"

"Who are you!?"

A being he had long crimson hair as his eyes were pure yellow gold, black armour he was wearing and markings that was on his face and arms.

"Lets just say i am you in a way the cursed you"

I was confused what he meant, he chuckled then kneeled down infront of me and whispered into my ear then got up.

"So it was you all along that controlled me even when i was ten"

"Surprised are you well don't be thanks to the curse i was fulfilling that person's wish"

Clenching my teeth in anger he laughed, he smirked then with his power opened what looked like a small portal window.

"And now you shall witness what you couldn't protect"

Looking at the portal window my eyes widened, i could see kira heavily wounded as she was being held by the neck as tears fell down my face.

(N.. no.. not again.. once again i couldn't protect those who i love)

"Hahahaha excellent thats it keep giving me that despair and negative emotions"

"S.. spare her i beg of you"

"No can do sorry so say your final good bye to her"

"KIRA!!!"

I yelled out to her as i watched as the sword went to pierce her, but then all of a sudden i heard a voice and everything went bright.

***End of P.O.V.***

Panting heavily and feeling the energy within me draining faster, the being laughed and thrusted his sword towards me.

(No it won't end like this.. I WILL SET HIM FREE!!!"

All of a sudden my body was covered in light which made the being be surprised, the sword bounced once it made contact the being then dropped me as it backed away.

"No this can't happen i won't allow it!"

The red stone from before shone brightly, the being ate and swallowed it a dangerous dark red aura surrounded him.

"Hahahaha with all this power it is over for you!"

He dashed towards me and dashed towards him, light aura surrounding my body glowed more brightly as i unleashed powerful light rays.

A powerful red aura energy collided into each other, it made a explosion and a cloud of smoke was created.

"Argh get off me!!!"

(Never!! you leave his body RIGHT NOW!!!)

Gathering every energy i bit harder into him as the light made it's way through the gap of the wound, the body began to glow more brighter until brightness filled the sky.

Lucas opened his eyes and got up groaning, as he got to his feet he walked over where kira and the being were fighting.

"M.. miss kira..?"

His eyes widened as he saw her very injured and was out cold, the person who was holding her was kayden.

"Kira.. my cute cat kira.. you saved me yet you paid the price"

Tears fell down his face heavily, feeling exhausted his vision went blurry and he fell to his knees panting.

"H.. hey are you okay"

Everything went blank and kayden fainted, once kayden woken he noticed he was in his room laying bed covered in bandages.

(Ugh my head where am i *gasps* Kira!)

Sitting up he looked over to his side there kira slept peacefully, he sighed in relief then softly scooped her up into his arms.

"About time you woke up kayden you had me worry there"

"Simon? why are you here"

Simon sighed and shook his head then explained to kayden what happened, after finishing explaining kayden went quiet.

"But there is good news though the curse has been broken"

Kayden looked at simon with a surprised look then looked at kira, the crystal on kira's collar looked dulled.

"You should get more rest for the time being i will handle everything"

Simon smiled then vanished, kayden laid down sighing softly then smiled softly as he held kira close as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
