The Cat and the Cursed Duke

Chapter 5~A new home and a new name

***Kayden's P.O.V.***

It has been a few days since the incident have happened, it was that night when the curse happened once again and i nearly lost her.

**Backflash**

Opening my eyes slowly i sat up but then i felt a sudden burst, clutching at my chest i panted in pain.

(Tch dammit why now!)

Looking over to my side i noticed that it was empty, springing up from the bed i began to search for that cat.

Leaving the tent i could feel a dark energy coming towards the river, hurrying where it was coming from i saw someone in a cloak.

(Who is that and what is that no it can't be!?)

In this person hand was the cat that was struggling to get free, not only that but her wounds hasn't healed yet and they reopened again.

(No.. not again i can't lose that someone precious to me)

Gritting my teeth i unsheathed my sword, then hurried towards the cloaked figure as he was about to hit her with a dark orb i pierced my sword through his chest.

"Hahaha you may have killed me but in the end you will kill her"

The cat managed to escape out of his grasp, i pulled out the sword and he fell to the ground as his body went cold then turned to dust.

*Panting and clutching his chest*

The pain returned once again and i clutched my chest tightly, dropping my sword i collapsed onto my knees.

"S.. stay back i don't know if i can control it"

The pain became more worse then ever, i could feel my body heating up a purplish dark aura covered my body as markings appeared on me and also the eyes changed colour.

But the cat began to approach me slowly, even though i told her to stay she still continued to approach me.

(Maybe if i pick my sword up i could scare her to keep away)

But when i looked at my sword then looked at her, she was right infront of me her beautiful white fur that shimmered in the moonlight and her beautiful sapphire blue eyes.

*Groans in pain and is panting more*

(Dammit.. it hurts i feel dizzy)

All of a sudden she placed her two paws onto my shoulder, and using her back legs she pushed herself towards me then her small cat lips touched mine then everything went bright.

***Flashback ends***

Ever since that day happened my body felt more lighter then before, i looked down at her then stroked her softly.

(I promise i will protect you because you are my saviour and my hope)

"Look kitty we are now out of the forest"

As she opened her eyes, it sparkled in the sunlight as her eyes opened wide seeing the far stretched road as he headed back to alvarez capital.

***End of P.O.V.***

I opened my eyes and as soon as i did, my eyes widened the scenery was wonderful i could feel the breeze through my fur.

(Man it feels so good to be out of the forest)

We continued onto the path until we reached a big gate raised up, once went through the tunnel i was speechless seeing different people wearing what looked like medieval European clothing.
