Tired

Raichelle sped up to go through the yellow light before it turned red. It was 6:15am and she had just finished her 12hr shift. She needed to get groceries for the day and the store near her didn't open till 7 so she had to drive 15 minutes to nearest store that opened at 6. She hoped out her car and rushed into the store. She zoomed her cart in and out of the isles to pick up the items she needed for breakfast and dinner. As she picked each item up she deleted from her notes in her phone. She had much going on if she didn't write everything down she would forget. Just as she made it to the register she got a txt.

Daddy 🥰: strawberry boost.

She huffed, shook her head and made her was quickly back to the isle to get the boost.

Rai struggled to unlock the door while she juggled the bags in her hands. She flopped the bags on the kitchen table and went into the hall to strip out of her work clothes and put them in the dirty clothes basket in the corner. She put that basket there specifically for her work clothes, because she didn't like the idea of treading all the dirt and blood through her house. She pushed her laces inside her boots and went to her bedroom. "Good morning babe. Are the girls up?" They had to be dropped off at school, because the busses didn't always come and when they did they came late. "Aww damn, my bad bae, I fell back asleep after I text you. She rolled her eyes and took her underclothes off throwing them in the dirty clothes. She put her shower cap on and wrapped the large towel around her tucking it at her breast. She pushed Gabriel playfully "Punk! You could've still get them up, so I can take a shower." He rolled over and put his arm over his face. "You already up." Huffing she headed to the girls room. "You gotta get up, you gotta get up, you gotta get up it's the morning!" She sang as she flipped the light switch. "You gotta get up, you gotta get up, you gotta get up it's the morning..." She sang again as began tickling Arianna (her youngest daughter), because she was easier to wake. "Hahaha....good morning mommy.!" She laughed and sat up to hug Raichelle. "Hey babygirl, did you sleep well last night?" She asked squeezing her tightly. "I did mommy and look dad help me get my clothes out." She turned see her uniform neatly laying over the footboard of her bed. "That's awesome lovey. Did you take a bath last night?" Arianna slipped her feet into her slippers and stood to stretch out. "Yep, sure did. And Jalease washed my back for me." Raichelle reached up to the top bunk and shook her daughter. "That was nice of her, did you wash her back too?" Arianna nodded her head and ran out of the room. "Jalease...Jalease.." She moaned incoherently and pulled the covers over her head. "Girl get your but up, before I pull you off this bed." Raichelle fussed. "I'm tired!" Jalease moaned. "Well if you would turn that tablet off at night, you could get proper sleep. Let's go, you got like an hour before we gotta go. Did you take a bath last night?" She asked as she picked the pants and shirts up the girls wore yesterday. They never put their dirty clothes away, they threw them all around. "Ok!" Jalease answered finally pushing the covers off of her and slowly descending the ladder of the bunkbed. On her way back downstairs she bump into Arianna who was running to the bathroom."Hey, how many times do I have to tell you WALK!" She nodded her head "Sorry, yes ma'am." Raichelle walked downstairs to the kitchen and put grounds into the coffee filter and filled the pot up to 10 cups with cold water before pouring in the back of the coffee maker. She hit the red right and went back to her room to go into the bathroom attached to her master bedroom. She turned the shower water on and hung her towel over the curtain rod. She used the bathroom before getting in. First she scrubbed her face with the black complexion soap and then she used the dove soap and caress Shea butter and vanilla bean mixture on her sponge to quickly wash her body. She grabbed a rag and used the dove bar and got it soapy before washing her private areas. The whole time she bathed, she was praying and thanking God for blessing her with another day and the health of her family. She rinsed off and turned the shower off. When she got into the bedroom the lights were already on. "How was work?" Gabriel asked her, texting on his phone sitting on the side of the bed. "It was good. They ran the hell out of us though. I'll be glad when I finish with these medic classes so I can get posted and sit for an hour instead of constantly running to every boo boo call." She responded to him as she went through her drawers and got a pair of capri jeans and a pastel pink tshirt. She went into the kitchen and grabbed her and Gabriel's coffee cup. She added sugar and snickers liquid creamer and stirred it before pouring the coffee to the rim. Gabriel didn't like his as sweet as her so she didn't add as much sugar to his. She put the lids on and pushed his aside taking a tip of hers. Then she put cold water in the electric tea pot and turned it on. Then she grabbed a package of cocoa and a tea bag. She put the tea bag in Jalease cup and the cocoa in Ariannas. Then she started on breakfast.
By the time everyone came down stairs dressed and ready for their day she was seriously in need of sleep. She put all the cups at the dinningroom table first then she started making plates. Her and Gabriel had pancakes shrimp and grits, scrambled eggs with cheese and pineapples. Jalease had shrimp, pancakes, fried eggs and pineapples. And Arianna had pancakes, grits, sausage links and pineapples. They all sat down in their places and waited on Raichelle to be seated. "Ok whose gonna say grace this morning." Arianna volunteered "Thank you Lord for this food, thank you letting mommy and daddy work to provide food and shelter and clothes for us. Thank you for waking us up this morning and please allow us to have a good day. I love you Lord Amen." Eveyone said "Amen" and they began eating and talking about the day and activities they were excited about for the day. Raichelle had finished her cup of coffee and only ate a few bites of her food. She was much too tires to even pay attention to what was being said or engage in the conversation. Every now and then she would throw in "That's nice baby" from time to time. She enjoyed spending time with her family and didn't want them to feel neglected by her, but all she could think about was her bed. She glanced down at her phone and located the time. "Hey guys it's time to get going so you wont be late." She interrupted Gabriel in the middle of his sentence. He looked at her with squinted eyes, which she ignored. "I love you guys, have a good day." She kissed everyone and after making sure they had sweaters and bookbags she walked them to the door and locked it. "Jesus!" She said outloud. Rushing she cleared off the dinningroom table wiped it down swept the floor and mopped it before going into the kitchen to clean it up. Then she took a large pack of chicken breast out the freezer and put it in the sink. After washing her hands she ran to her room, made sure the alarm on her phone was set to 2:00pm, stripped out her clothes and got under the covers. Lately she had been having a hard time sleeping so asmr would play on her TV as she tossed and turned to help her. Looking at her phone she saw it was 8:30 so she closed her eyes tightly and allowed the gentle voice to put her to sleep.

Rai woke up to her phone ringing and she felt a headache come on quickly. "Hello!" She answered groggy with her eyes still closed. "Ma, can you take me to get my car out the shop? It's ready now and I got a meeting in an hour so I wanna go get it." Johanna said excitedly into the phone. "Oh Gosh, what time is it?" She pulled the phone away from her ear to look at it. When she saw it was 10:30 she was ready to scream. "Girl...imma cash app you $100 I'm trying to sleep goodnight." She said and hung up the phone. She quickly sent the $100 and rolled over. Laundry, dinner, and cleaning had to be done before she left for work at 5:30pm so she needed as much rest as possible. A vacation needed to be planned soon, because she was in desperate need of some serious rest and relaxation.
