Nancy Mulligan - Ed Sheeran
We took the Spider Width Alley to the River of Sorrows, where a troll used to live and a "cursed fisherman" now dwells. How mysterious. After jumping over the wall to be closer to the stream, Thaynor signals for us to stop.
T: "Tread carefully, I smell danger."
Some kind of sixth sense? Of course only Thaynor the legendary monster slayer would have such a thing.
A: "Over there!"
We all turn to where Alto was pointing, near the river, where the water is splashing suspiciously. As I start to realise that no one is there, I feel the presence of something behind me. Suddenly it grabs my arm and I struggle and shake my arm in all directions, trying to free myself.
L: "Uh uh uh, not so fast."
I haven't actually realised who it was yet, but that voice... Is this...Ryan? I stare into the eyes of the fiend and... I mean they are just like his...
J: "L-let me... let me go..?"
He's got the voice, the hair...
T: "This must be the cursed fisherman!"
...fudge. My whole body freezes and I try to decide whether to fight him or to just stay here forever and die of hypothermia. I'm genuinely intrigued, because Ryan is such a sweetheart, but that evil smirk is saying something else.
T: "ummm... use the potion, Jade!" Thaynor says as he throws it at me.
I catch it, pop the cork off, drink a bit of the raspberry and apple flavoured water inside and-
Wait a second- I've been had! I reread the label on the bottle and... I'm right. I have been had indeed. This kiss is following me faster than a stalker.
I remember the last time I was in this situation, when we played truth or dare. I was only saved by the commotion going on outside. This time I don't think neither Alto nor Thaynor are going to save me from this.
I mean it's not like I don't want to - I really, really want to - but I'm just nervous and there's so many eyes on me and-
A: "Ahem. Use the potion, Jade."
Right, right, I need to do this to progress in the story. Thaynor is waiting to see if I'll do it for the sake of the town. Alto is waiting to see if I'll do it at all. And I will ... maybe not right now though.
Hold on! Musala said that I could kiss him anywhere on the face. Aha! Loophole! You won't get me this time, evil kiss!
I quickly kiss him on the cheek. He lets go of me and he's blushing his usual shade of tomato red. Which is a good sign. Yeah, he's not like throwing up pr anything. He has a little smile on his face. That's so cute. Definitely a good sign. Alto looks like she's about to laugh. And Thaynor wants to leave.
L: "U-um... oh, right. T-thank you miss! You've saved me from the curse!"
J: "Yeah, of course. And you are?"
L: "Leon. I'm a fisherman. I was under an evil curse, that was cast on me by some brightly coloured...thing. But you, fair maiden, have saved me."
J: "Oh, haha, it was nothing, really."
T: "So, Leon, tell us about this colourful thing. The Hrypson, right?"
L: "That wasn't a Hrypson. No, it couldn't have been."
J: "What?"
L: "You can't see them. Hrypson are invisible. It was yellow and green, and the last thing I remember before becoming cursed is my stuff in its hands. I had a giant pink jewel I had fished up from the river, and they were in the guy's hand as it left and I blacked out."
A: "Giant pink... jewel?"
J: "Wait a second- oh my gosh."
T: "There never was a Hrypson. It was the jester!"
A: "Damn, we've been had."
T: "It's not too late! Let's go get him!"To Survive - Masafumi Takada
But as we're about to hurry back to where thar tricky jester was jestering, a creepy voice spooks us from behind.
I: "No need to go anywhere, for I am right here. Yes, you figured it out. It is I, Ionos, the Joker of jokes! I thought that trick was quite a laugh." He cackles evilly. "And now, it's time for the monster hunter and his crew, who are meddling with my plans, to die."
T: "Get ready for battle, squad."
L: "Let me help you guys!"
J: "Are you sure?"
L: "I've learnt a thing or two. From fishing, of course." He grabs a long spear resting from the wall, and spins it around his fingers like in those cool fighting movies.
J: "Woah. Impressive."
A: "Let's kill this sucker!"
