Skit 22 - the confession (the ending of the book)

(3rd person POV:)

Catnap and Dogday have started to grow fond of each other, always having sleepovers, watching TV alone together, doing stuff that no normal people would do unless they are in love.

The critters had noticed their closeness. Dogday used to think that catnap was weird and expressed this openly, and catnap was truly weird for just staring at us, never talking, but they are suddenly close, catnap did a 180 with his personality and only ever hung out with Dogday and sometimes with picky, but because picky started cooking with the other girls, catnap didn't visit her often.

Dogday realized that he was slowly developing a crush on catnap, due to the advice Bobby had given him a few years back.

He wanted to confess to catnap, but he wasn't sure how... he wanted it to be special, something that can be fun for both of them....

Dogday had decided that he will send picky to give catnap a letter that tells him to come to the cliff where they would hangout on the edge and admire the moon...

(🌙's POV:)

I opened the door after I heard a knock on my door and saw picky standing outside my door. "Hey Catnap! Dogday told me to give this to you." Picky chuckle and gave it to me.

After I held the letter she ran off quickly. 'What the heck was that all about?' I wondered and then looked down at the letter that was handed to me.

I ripped it open and pulled out the actual letter and started to read it...

'Under the moon's soft, guiding light.... Would you like to join me tonight?
Hand in hand, under the moon lit sky so wide, Let's share a memory, together...

Care to join me on the cliff..?'

A poem? I never knew Dogday knew how to rhyme, he always sucked at spelling. I chuckled and placed the paper carefully in my hoodies pocket and went out of my way to look for this 'mysterious cliff' under the moon lit sky.

(☀️'s POV:)

I stood there, my hands shaking.. I was kinda scared... what if he doesn't like me back? Would this ruin what we have? This is really a big step, a very big risk I'm willing to take! I'm not gonna be that boy that runs away from his problems, I shall face them face to face...!

As I was trying to think positive of the situation I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. "I'm here Sunny, and what's with that poem? That is so not like you." I heard catnaps voice behind me, which made me turn my head to face catnap who had a confused yet calm expression.

"I thought it would be nice to you know..? Never mind that stupid poem.. so..." I said as I placed the tips of my pointer finger against each other with a nervous tone in my voice.

"Let's sit on the edge of the cliff.." I recommend as I placed my hands on my hips confidently. "Sure, hopefully you don't push me off." Catnap said in a sarcastic tone. "Oh trust me! You know I wouldn't do that." I chuckled at his sarcasm.

We both went ahead and sat down on the edge of the cliff, catnap crossed his leg while I dangled mine on the edge.

We both stared at the full moon, it reminded me of catnap... I smiled sincerely as I felt catnaps head on my shoulder, which made me blush a little bit.

I wanted to confess, but I never found the right words I would use... I turned to face catnap who was busy star gazing.

"The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it?" I asked as catnap nodded his head towards, I knew he felt my gaze on him, which made him turn his head towards me...

I could see a faint blush creep on his face.. "was there a specific reason why you called me here?" He asked.. I just looked down then back to him.

"Catnap, can I be honest with you?" I asked him, I've never lied to him, but I wanted him to know that I'm being honest with my words. "Sure Sunny, you can always be honest with me." Catnap responded which gave me hope.

"Catnap... I'm in love with you, I have been for awhile, but I didn't have the guts to confess, which is why I'm doing it now..." I said to him, as I stared deeply into his eyes. "I would understand if you didn't feel the same way, I just hope this doesn't ruin our friendship bec-." And before u could even finish my sentence I felt catnaps soft lips press against mine..

I felt like I was heaven... sure we kissed before, but this felt more romantic.. I closed my eyes and kissed him back passionately.

We stayed like this for about a minute or so. Catnap pulled away and stared into my eyes. "I love you too Sunny, from the moment I saw you, I knew you were different from the others, aside from picky, you were the only that understood me and gave me a chance to change.." catnap spoke before he pecked me on my cheek. "I'm just glad I don't have to hide my feelings anymore." Catnap said as he pulled me into a hug while we were stilling down.

I am also glad I don't have to find my feelings from the person I love most too...

A big kudos to those who were actively reading and commenting on my skits! I'm sad I had to end this book so soon, but I'm writing another one, that I talked about in the last skit.

I might add a bonus skit, where they are grown up and have kids and like I've stated before (Christmas and Halloween skits :3)

An early happy birthday to me since my birthday is in may 12, which means it's in 11 days :)
