Yu Gi Oh Legends

Chapter five

Sarah walked towards the 7th grade section. Her four other friends were 6th graders, so they had to stay in the 6th grade section.

It was a dark morning outside. A little creepy, in a way. The 7th grade entrance was at the back of the school, so Sarah had to walk around the school.

The area was dim lit. Sarah started to feel a little jittery. All of a sudden, she was grabbed by someone. The person put a cloth over her mouth, so she wouldn't scream. She was shoved into a dark alley. The person who captured her let her drop to the ground. He removed the cloth from her mouth.

"Well, good morning, Sarah."

Sarah looked at the location of the voice. Sebastian stepped out of the shadows, with one boy on each side of him.

Sarah quickly stood up. "What do you want from me?" She asked. She backed up, but she bumped into another boy.

"Simple. I just want you to duel me," He said. He activated his duel disk.

"The duel disk damage better be at 1," Sarah said.

"Oh, it's not at one. This is a shadow game, after all."

"I wonder where Sarah is," Zao said.

"Yeah, same here. I haven't seen her all day at school. Maybe something happened?" Payton suggested.

"If that's the case, then we should probably try to find her," Kai said. He looked around. "I haven't seen Sebastian either."

Lexi looked at Kai. "You don't think......" She trailed off.

As soon as duel period started, they all went to go look for Sarah.

"The 7th grade entrance is behind the school," Zao said.

"We need to look around here." Kai looked at the dark alley. "Let's look there first."

They all ran into the dark alley. There, they saw Sarah on the ground, unconscious.

"Sarah!" Kai yelled. He ran towards her, and knelt down next to her. "Please tell me you're okay."

"She can't hear you, I'm afraid." Sebastian stepped out into the open.

Kai glared at him. "What did you do to her?" He asked angrily.

Sebastian shrugged. "I just beat her in a duel, that's all." He looked at Kai. "And you'll be dueling me next."

Kai looked back at Sarah. "And if I refuse?" He asked.

Sebastian laughed. "I'll just have you know that your sister's soul is in the Shadow realm. So if you want her back, I suggest you duel me." Sebastian turned his duel disk on. "But if you lose, then your soul goes to the shadow realm too!"

Kai turned his duel disk on. "Fine. Let's duel!"

"Be careful Kai!" Lexi called.

"I'll start things off." Sebastian drew a card. He looked at it. "I summon Synthesis Magician in the pendulum zone!" Sebastian said.

"Pendulum zone?" Lexi asked.

"Not sure. I guess we just have to watch and find out," Payton replied.

"Don't let that monkey scare you!" Zao called.

"Now, I'll set two cards face down. Your move," Sebastian said.

Niko drew a card. "I'll summon Balloon Lizard in defense mode! Every standby phase on my turn, this guy gains a counter. And for each counter he has when he's destroyed, it's the amount of counters times 400 coming out of your life points!" Niko exclaimed. "I'll also set these two cards. Make your move."

Sebastian drew again. "I'll summon Magical astronomer Kepler. And now, I'm going to pendulum summon!" He cried.

"Pendulum summon?" Kai asked.

"Yes. When both of my Pendulum zones are full, I can special summon as many pendulum monsters as I want, as long as their level fall in between the levels indicated on the pendulum monsters in the pendulum zone!" Sebastian yelled!"

Five monsters popped up onto Sebastian's side of the field. "Now, attack that stupid Lizard!" He ordered.

Kai held up a spell card. "Nope! I activate D.D borderline! While there aren't any spells in my graveyard, then neither of us can conduct our battle phase!"

Sebastian laughed. "Now you're just stalling! Your turn!"

"I summon another balloon lizard! And also, my first one gains a counter. Your turn."

It went on like this for a while. Until finally, Kai decided to finish it.

"First, I'll play dark hole! It destroys all the monsters on the field. And since my balloon lizards are destroyed, you take some serious damage. The first one has 6 counters, and the second one has 5. How much is that? Enough to finish you off," Kai said.

Sebastian dropped to the ground, unconscious.

Payton took Sebastian's deck of card. "I have no idea what these are. But whatever they are, they can't be good. Maybe we should see if my uncle knows anything about these," Payton said.

Sarah was starting to wake up. "What happened to me?" She asked.

"Well, Sebastian beat you in a duel, which sent your soul to the shadow realm, and then we got it back," Kai explained.

Sarah stood up. "Well, we should probably get going. I remember him using some weird cards."

Payton held up the pendulum deck. "Yeah, we're going to see if my uncle knows anything about these things," She said.

"These...... It can't be!" Uncle Drew exclaimed. He looked at Payton. "These are very dangerous cards. Whenever someone wants revenge on another person, the pendulum comes down, and takes control of their soul. Then, they receive a pendulum deck. Whenever a person is using a pendulum deck, a shadow game is played. If they win, the loser's soul goes to the shadow realm. But if the person being controlled loses, then they snap out of it." Uncle Drew looked at all of them. "We have to find every last one of these cards, before too many souls are sent away."

"Let's do this!" Payton exclaimed.
