Yu Gi Oh Legends

Chapter two

Sarah walked over to Payton. She was scratched up from the duel. She was still unconscious.

Payton weakly opened her eyes. "What happened?" She asked weakly.

"Do you remember your duel with Sebastian?" Sarah asked.

"I think so..... I just remember me getting hit directly, then.... Nothing," Payton explained. She was weak. VERY weak.

"While you were unconscious, Sebastian took your duel disk and deck. Kai also challenged him to a duel. Sebastian set the damage level to 4 when he dueled you. He set the damage level to 5 for his duel with Kai," Sarah explained.

"Tell him not to do it," Payton said weakly.

"It's too late. He was determined to get your duel disk back," Sarah said.

"Is Kai an idiot or something? Why would he do that? He could die!" Payton said weakly. She closed her eyes.

"Payton! Wake up!" Sarah shouted. But it was no use. Payton was unconscious.

Zao and Lexi ran over to Sarah. "Should we call the ambulance?" Zao asked.

Sarah checked Payton's pulse. It was beating, but it was dying away. "Yes. Call the ambulance."

"Are you ready to lose?" Sebastian jeered. He drew five cards from his deck. Kai did the same.

"First, I summon Twin swords marauder in attack mode!" Sebastian said. A creature appeared on the field. "And I'll set these two cards face down." Two facedown cards appeared on the field. "Your move."

Kai drew a card. "I summon Morphonic Clocken in defense mode!" Kai said. A robotic monster appeared on the field.
"And now, I'll set this card face down. Your turn." Kai said.

All of a sudden, sirens could be heard in the background.

"Kai!" Sarah exclaimed.

Kai turned around. "What's up?"

"We had to get Payton to the hospital. She was in bad condition. I'm staying here with you," Sarah said.

Kai nodded. Then he turned to face Sebastian. "You little jerk! You'll pay for what you did!" Kai roared.

Sebastian smirked. "Just like how you'll pay for the crummy move you made!"

Kai looked confused. "What?"

"You heard me. You made a bad mistake. Not only are my monster's attack points stronger than your monster's defense points, but when Twin sword marauder attacks a monster in Defense mode, he can attack again. And he also inflicts the difference of his attack and your defense as battle damage! And you know what that means," Sebastian said. "Go! Twin sword slash!"

Kai's monster vanished. Kai looked at the Twin sword marauder, who was just about to strike him.

"Go! Attack him directly!" Sebastian yelled.

The pain was unbearable. Kai dropped to the ground, and almost went unconscious.

"Had enough?" Sebastian asked.

Sarah helped Kai from off of the ground. "Are you okay?" Sarah asked gently.

Kai nodded weakly. He drew his next card. Sarah backed up, so that she was out of the line of fire.

Kai drew a card. "I summon 1,000 eyes idol in defense mode," He said.

"What? But 1,000 eyes idol has no attack or defense! And my Twin sword marauder can attack twice again!" Sebastian started to laugh. "This is going to be over now."

"You're right. It's going to be over. For you. I activate creature swap! That means that you and I swap creatures with each other. And now, I attack! And remember, 1,000 eyes idol has 0 defense, and you get the battle difference. Go! Twin sword slash!" Kai yelled.

The monster disappeared. Sebastian yelled out in pain.

"Don't forget, I can attack again!" Kai yelled. The Twin sword marauder hit Sebastian directly.

Current standings
Sebastian- 800 life remaining
Kai- 1900 life remaining

"You little...." Sebastian growled. "You'll be sorry!"

"I still get to keep your swordsman. And I set a card facedown. Your move!" Kai said.

"Alright! Nice move, Kai!" Sarah cheered.

Sebastian drew a card. He smirked. "This is where you meet your end. I activate my facedown, Call of the haunted, to bring 1,000 eyes idol back!" Sebastian yelled.

1,000 eyes idol was back on Sebastian's side of the field.

"And now, I tribute him, for curse of dragon!" Sebastian roared.

A huge dragon appeared on the field. It roared.

"Attack Twin sword marauder! Cursed light attack!"

"Not so fast! I reveal my facedown, magic cylinders. It deflects your own attack, and sends it right back at you!" Kai said.

Sebastian went flying backwards. His life points went from 800 to 0.

"That means I win," Kai said. He was still scuffed up from the first attack. "Now hand over the duel disks."

Sebastian dropped Payton's duel disk on the ground. Kai picked it up. Then, he turned towards Sarah. "Can you make sure that he returns those duel disks? I need to give this to Payton," He said.

Sarah nodded. "Sure." Then, she hugged him. "You did so well out there."

Kai hugged his older sister back. "Thanks."

"Kai! You did it!" Zao cheered.

Kai nodded. "Is she okay?" He asked.

Lexi shrugged. "We haven't seen her since the ambulance picked her up. We went to go tell her uncle," She said.

"Well, I'm going to go visit her. I'll see you guys tomorrow at school," Kai said.

Zao nodded. "Right. See you later!"

"Go on in, sir. She's in room 2a." The nurse said.

"Thank you," Kai replied. He walked down the hallway, until he found her room. He pushed the door open.

Payton was in the bed, sleeping. All the severe wounds were bandaged up. The little ones had some kind of clear creme on them.

Kai sat in a chair next to the bed. "Payton? Are you okay?" He asked.

Payton stirred a little. Her eyes fluttered open. "Kai?" She asked weakly.

Kai nodded. "It's me. I beat Sebastian. He gave this back," He said, holding up her duel disk. He put it on the side table.

"Kai.... Thank you so much," She said.

He smiled. "Anything for you."
