There so much awkwardness with sitting around everyone even though I know them since years, I feel I am with strangers right now.
"Pandit jii give a muhuurat after October only." Aadhya requested.
"Why? I was thinking of having a June wedding." Roshni's Mom interrupted.
"Their wedding is the last one in the group and I want to enjoy it like everything which I can't do atleast 2 months after I give birth."
"Right... Let's keep the marriage in the end of the year." Roshni said happily. I knew the reason behind her happiness, she had more time to get rid of this wedding. She will come up with various ideas but she isn't aware that I won't let even single idea of her to succeed.
"In that case.... November and December the whole two months are shubh, the family can decide any date." The pandit declared.
"Aap hi koi tareek bata dijiye na." Her father said with confusion.
"I'll check... Wait."
"You kids tell what date you want." Aunty moved to us.
"Anything is fine with us."
"Vansh beta, you want any specific date?" She asked me with love in her tone.
"19 November." I said in one go.
"Why 19 November?" Aarnav asked.
"Nothing special." I lied.
19 November was when I realized my feelings for Roshni was not just a crush but a forever binding love and obsession.
"19 November is very auspicious and can bind them together in this marriage forever." The pandit added.
The forever from his mouth for our marriage made my heart excited. I did not believe much in religion but still it felt nice to hear. Whether or not we are written together forever, I'll make sure she stays with me.
"19 November it is then." Aunty announced loudly and our mouths were loaded with sweets.
"On May 20 will have a small ring ceremony at our place. Will only call our close relatives and your friend circle." Her father added.
I was happy inside and outside both, I feel like declaring a state holiday, buying 3-4 sports car, dancing all night long and kiss my soon to be wife. When I turned to look at her I saw her smiling widely, her teeths brightening but I knew she wasn't happy inside. Unlike my other goals, the goal to change her feelings remained incomplete and after 7 years I was going to complete it.
When Aunty and Uncle left we sat in circle on Zayn's instructions.
"Okay so what about bachelor trip?" He asked everyone.
