Lollipop stared at her mug of coffee, glancing over at her girlfriend Taco, who was sitting across from her on the sofa, watching the TV. Lolly frowned as she took another sip, resting her arms on the counter. For the past two weeks, something had been off with Taco. She seemed a lot more distant, plus she wasn't really smiling as much. Whenever her friends asked her what was up, she would always reply that she was fine, but Lollipop didn't buy it. Not for one second. Plus, there were often nights when Taco would jolt awake in a cold sweat, and whenever Lolly consoled her, asking her what it was about, she could tell that Taco was lying about what the nightmare was about, obviously nervous and struggling to talk.

She had been clearly avoiding to talk about what was bothering her, and it worried Lolly to bits. She hated seeing her girlfriend in this state, especially since she was denying any help. Lollipop grimaced as she stared down at the counter, determined that she was going to get to the bottom of this, and finally get an answer out of Taco. 'Either tonight or tomorrow evening, I'll make sure to sort this whole fiasco out..', she thought to herself, watching Taco now switching to YouTube on the TV.

Later that night, Lollipop was reading a magazine in bed, waiting for Taco to come join her, who was still in the bathroom, the sound of water could be heard. Soon the bathroom light turned off, and Taco came out wearing a pajama shirt, shorts, plus she took the band that she would usually wear out of her hair, letting it down. She climbed into bed, facing away from Lolly, and plopped down with the blanket over her. Lolly stopped reading, glancing over at Taco. "Hon?", she asked, causing the green haired girl to turn around. "Hmm?", was all she muttered. "I'm really worried about you, something's obviously going on, but why won't you just say what's really going on?", Lollipop asked, placing the magazine over on her nightstand. "Nothing...I'm fine..", Taco replied, looking away. Lollipop frowned, inching closer. "You're NOT fine, Taco. Don't think I haven't noticed what was going on, as well as everyone else these past few months."

Taco rolled her eyes, letting out a huff. "I already told you what was bothering me, I don't want to talk about it." Lollipop frowned, she wasn't going to give up just yet. "No you didn't. I could tell you were obviously lying about those nightmares, Taco, just please tell me what's really going on, I won't be mad!" Taco was starting to get more annoyed, she just wanted to go to sleep. "I SAID that I don't want to talk about it, now can you please just let me sleep?", she said, her tone a bit harsh. "Hon, I'm just trying to help you, I don't want you feeling like this for..", Lolly started. "Oh my god, will you just SHUT UP?! You're really starting to get on my nerves, I'm tired, and I want to go to sleep!!", Taco suddenly interrupted. Lollipop looked taken aback, before feeling a bit angry herself. "Well, I'm sorry for showing any concern for you! You know what, maybe I might as well just leave, and let you continue to be all miserable, and feel like crap, because I don't know, you clearly can't even answer one simple question!!", she snapped back, before her eyes widened a bit. A tiny gasp escaped both the girl's mouths.

Silence filled the room as the two stared at each other. Taco looked like she was about to start crying, and Lollipop immediately placed her hands on her shoulders. "Taco...oh my god, I'm..I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said that.", she said quietly, feeling the guilt seeping in. Taco let out a small sniffle, before hugging her girlfriend. "No...I'm sorry...I shouldn't have snapped at you...I was just so frustrated...Lolly, I'm so sorry, you're right, I really should tell you what's going on..", she said. Lollipop sighed as she nodded, looking down at her. "When you're ready, just tell me darling..", she softly said. After a few minutes of sniffling and calming down, Taco sat up a bit, looking over at the purple haired woman. "O..okay..it's...well...it's kinda stupid honestly..", she started.

"It's NOT stupid, dear. If it was bothering you for so long, then it certainly isn't.", Lollipop stated. Taco took a deep breath, before continuing. "So..you remember when you guys...mainly Book, thought that I abandoned you guys or something?", she asked, rubbing her arm. Lollipop sighed at the thought. Looking back, it was incredibly stupid, but it was years ago, and everyone on team Bleh has already apologized to Taco for the whole thing, especially Book. Looking back, Lolly wasn't sure how even she believed what Book said, she felt pretty stupid of thinking Taco would do something like that, but it was also good that she was the first to call Book out on it, when she saw Taco's conversation with Bell.

"The thing is...I've been having...nightmares about you guys...well, leaving me, especially you.", Taco continued. "It's always you guys, angrily surrounding me, telling me that you guys hated me, and that I was probably the worst person ever. Whenever I tried to object...", she started to feel teary eyed. "You guys would always shut me off, then you all would walk away, disappearing from my view." Lolly looked at her with a bit of shock. "But the worse ones, where...when it was just me and you...you always angrily push me away, saying how annoying I was, or how...you never loved me to begin with.." tears started streaming down her cheeks. A small noise escaped Lollipop's mouth, as she looked at her girlfriend in disbelief. "And...I know this all happened y..years ago..and these are just..", Taco sucked in her breath before blurting out, "stupid nightmares! But..I don't...I don't know why they're bothering me so much..", she finally finished, small sobs emitting from her lips.

Lollipop wrapped her arms around Taco, gently caressing her hair and back. "Oh..my sweet..I'm so sorry that you've been dealing with this..", she whispered. Leaning down a little, Lolly pressed a soft kiss into her hair. Taco wiped her eyes, burying her face into her girlfriend's chest. "At the very least...it feels..somewhat good to get that out..", she muttered. Lolly nodded, before making Taco look up at her. "Let me assure you, darling, that was all a stupid mistake that me and the others believed, but it's all in the past. Despite what your mind shows, that is not what I think about you. You are one of the most incredible women I have ever met. You're clever, pretty, not to mention sweet." Taco smiled as she listened to her words. "Tha..thank you, Lollipop..I love you..", she said.

"I love you too.", Lollipop then leaned forward a bit. "Let me tell you something, Book once told me that she had been dealing with some nightmares too.." Taco looked at her with a bit of surprise. "Really?", she asked. "Mmhmm. She told me that she had nightmares of being stuck in a jawbreaker, just like you. And since nobody could hear her, she was basically helpless. Poor girl, she felt so guilty about the past..", Lollipop explained, looking down. Taco was shocked, frowning a little. "Huh, that sucks...even if what she did was dumb in the past, that's awful..I'll be sure to talk to her about it next time I see her.", she said. Lollipop nodded. "That's probably a good idea, dear. Now, I think we should go to sleep now, hmm?" Taco nodded, and the two laid down, getting comfy under the blankets.
