Defeated

Chapter Eight

Rose's P.O.V.

I walked into the bathroom and went to the sink to wipe my nose.

"Hello Rose. Pleasure meeting you here." Cho said sarcastically, washing her hands at the sink. She has always been my enemy. She is just to perfect. "What happened? Did somebody insult your friend? What's her name? Andrea right?I never really liked her." She said in a snooty voice.

"I don't care just don't say bad things about Andrea." I said clearly annoyed. After I finished wiping my nose, I turned and walked out of the bathroom. 

"Hey, where are you going?" Cho asked in a urgent voice.

"I'm leaving," I turned around to look at her,"isn't it obvious? How did you get sorted into Ravenclaw?" I asked turning and walking out of the bathroom.

I rushed to my first class; History of Magic. I had no friends in this class but I had Andrea in my Defense Against the Dark Arts class. After History of Magic I had Charms and then I had Lunch. It was incredibly boring, classes that is. My favorite part of the day is either lunch or after classes when I was hanging out with Fred and George in the Gryffindor common room.   

Before I knew it, it was lunchtime. I went in to the Great Hall and sat next to Lee across from Fred.

I glanced past Fred to look at Draco. He was sitting next to his friends Crabbe and Goyle with a girl hanging on to him. He had an annoyed look on his face. He looked to his 'friend' Crabbe and he pulled the girl off of him. Lee caught my stare and looked toward Draco. 

"Rose why are you looking at him.?" He asked.

"No reason." I said in a chirpy voice trying to be passed off as believable.

"Not buying it." He said.

I began putting a PB and J sandwich on my plate. "So boys, did you guys know there is a thing called a Yule Ball. It's on Christmas day. The day before I leave to You Know Who's. I read it in Hogwarts: A History." Andrea's friend, Hermione, told me to read it, so I did.

"You leave the day after Christmas?" George asked. 

"Yes." I said, looking towards Fred. I bit into my sandwich while George turned to Fred to whisper something in his ear. He blushed a bit and turned to whisper something back in his brothers ear. I stood up and said,"I have to get to my next class. Ill see you guys in the common room." I turned and started walking.

 "I'm sorry about your nose." I heard someone say behind me. I turned around to find a boy walking up to me with bleach blonde hair. 

"It's fine. You're Draco, right?" I asked. 

"Yes, and your Rose, correct?" He asked. 

"Yep," I smiled,"I have to get going. We could talk later." i asked. 

"That sounds great." He said, smiling a half smile at me. I waved goodbye walking to Professor Moody's classroom. As I got there I sat down next to Andrea.

 "I talked a bit more to Draco this morning." I said. 

"Really. What did he say?" She asked.

 "Not much, but I know we will be talking more later." I said.
