Defeated

Chapter Ten

Rose's P.O.V.
                     
I climbed through the portrait hole, stressing about what was going to go down in the next couple of hours. As I climbed up the stairs to the girls dormitories, I heard loud whispering from the common room.

"...I think she likes..." I heard one of the twins say.

"...I doubt it..." Another twin said.

"...He's rich though..."

"...He's a Slytherin..."

I stopped eavesdropping and went into my room to see Cristina and Laurie setting out their dresses for The Yule Ball.

"Hey guys, guess what?" I said, walking over to my bed.

"What? Finally get a date?" Laurie asked with a smug look on her face.

"George asked Andrea to the Yule Ball. Just letting you know I ship it," I said, giggling quietly. "And yes I did get a date."

"With who?" Cristina said, surprisingly surprised.

"Guess."

"No way! I don't believe you." Laurie asked, grinning wildly. While Cristina just looked confused.

"Yes way!" I said, feeling my cheeks grow hot.

"Who? I'm still confused."

"Fred, get with the program." Laurie stated.

"Turn around."  I picked up my dress off my bed. I took off my regular Hogwart's robes and changed into my dress.

It was crimson, with a bit of trim at the end. It was strapless, making it a little bit edgy.

I then sat down at my desk that I did my makeup at every morning.

I twisted my hair into a messy bun then did my makeup.

Once all of us (Cristina, Laurie and I) were done, we went down into the common room.

Cristina went to Seamus, her date. Laurie went off to find her date, which was probably non-existent.
I looked around trying to find, Fred. He wasn't that hard to spot because he was the only one wearing a knitted trenchcoat for guys.

"You look...beautiful." Fred commented, his eyes widening.

"Before you start snogging, let's go get Andrea." George said, making both Fred and I blush.

"Sure, whatever."

As we were walking, I tried to make small talk.

"Where did you get that coat dress thing?" I asked.

"My mum knitted it and made me wear it."

"Hey, George are we meeting Andrea outside or at the ball?" I asked.

"The Ball."

                      ~Time Skip~

The Great Hall was decorated like a winter wonderland. There was snow falling throughout the hall. The huge Christmas tree standing at the front proudly.

"Hey guys!" Andrea said.

"You look stunning." George said cheekily.

"I really hope they play some wizard rock!" Fred said. Fred and George fist bumped.

I look around and start noticing all the people in their fancy dresses. I know kind of hard to miss. I look right next to the dessert table. Typical.

"CAROLINE!" I yell. 

"Rose. Don't yell." Andrea said, in a scolding tone.

Caroline's head whips in my direction. 

"Oh my gosh, Rose don't yell." Caroline says to me when she gets to out little group.

"So who's your date," I ask her, raising my eyebrows, "or are you a loner like usual?"

She scoffs.

"No I'm not a loner but I have a date. I came with Laurie, as friends." 

"Sure."

"Oh, I love this song!" Andrea says. She starts dancing over to the dance floor. I look at Fred and George and shrug, then follow her. Soon later the other three follow.

After a couple of hours, it was getting late. 

"I'm getting tired. I think I'm going to go to bed." Andrea said.

"I'll walk you there." George said. 

They left a couple minutes after.

"That's our queue."

Fred and I walked out of the hall and towards the Gryffindor tower. 

"Did you have fun?" I asked Fred.

"Of course!"

Once we got to portrait we said the password to get in. The picture swung open.

"Hey Rose?"

"Yeah?" 

"I had a lot of fun tonight." 

"Me too." 

He leaned down and pecked my lips.

"Good night."

Well its been a long time. Sorry. Ive (Me, Rose.) has been busy these past seven months. Wow. Well were back. AND IT'S SUMMER!!!!
