Andrea's P.O.V

"Wow," I gushed, "You two look really nice."

Luna and Caroline smiled at me, saying their thank you's and you look pretty too.

With that, we left our dorm rooms and started to head to the ball. My throat felt like it was closing up, I was so nervous. I couldn't help imagining myself stepping on George's toes and tripping over my dress. Soon enough, the three of us arrived at the ball.

"Well, I better be off," Luna said, giving us a small wave, "Have a good night."

"Bye," Caroline and I said to her.

"I'm going to go get some food," she told me, then walked away, "I'll see you later!"

I wasn't quite sure whether Luna had a date or not, but I knew that Caroline was going with our friend Laurie, platonically, of course. Caroline had a crush on this Gryffindoor named Lee, but he already had a date to the Yule Ball. Anyway, I began looking for Rose and the twins.

"Hey guys!" I said when I found them, walking as fast as I could in my heels.

"You look stunning," George gaped. I think my face became the color of his hair.

We watched as the champions had the first dance. I was surprised to see Hermione, who looked fantastic, dancing with Viktor Krum. She didn't tell me she was dating a bloody celebrity, I thought in amazement. Poor Harry Potter was rubbish at dancing. It was obvious that Mcgonagall's dance lessons didn't help him at all.

As soon as The Weird Sisters began to play, my friends and I started to dance. We mainly just danced, but George and I made conversation throughout the night. Mainly about the events of this year so far, but also about what we liked and what we were going to do over Christmas break. At one point, the twins were completely lost in the crowd, and it was all of my girl friends and I dancing. After a few hours, the Ball was dwindling down.

"I'm getting tired," I announced, "I think I'm gonna go to bed."

"I'll walk you there," George offered.

"Thanks," I smiled, waved bye to my friends, and started to walk with George.

Once we were in the quiet hallways I said, "Tonight was fun."

"Yeah, it was," he scratched the back of his head, "Maybe we could go out some other time, without Fred, though."

"I'd like that," I told him, stopping in front of the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room. We gave each other an awkward kind of hug, but once I got over the butterflies in my stomach it was actually pretty nice.

"Good night," George said, leaving me to solve a riddle.
