Jessica's POV
Mrs. Martin walked us to another part of the building. "The children stay here." she said as we walked through some double doors. There was a hand print walkway as we walked to the kids. They were all playing different types of games. One boy stood out from all the kids, though. I knew then that he was the one. He had beautiful hair that was braided and pretty brown eyes. "That's him, isn't it?" I said pointing to him. "Yes. That's him." Mrs. Martin said. Her and Travis looked shocked. "How did you know that?" Travis asked. "Because that's our son." I said. Mrs. Martin walked us over to him. "Hakeem." Mrs. Martin said. The little boy looked up at us. "I would like you to meet some people." Hakeem smiled at us. "Are you my new parents?" he asked. I looked at him. "We hope to be." I said. Hakeem smiled at us. My heart fluttered. This is our son. I can feel it. Travis and I sat next to Hakeem. He started telling us about his toys and pictures that were sprawled all over the table. I looked at Travis and I saw how he was fascinated at Hakeem's excitement. I knew he could see it, too. This is our son.Travis's POV
After talking and playing with Hakeem for a few hours, it was time for him to go to bed. As Hakeem was hugging us, he whispered "I hope you guys adopt me." "I think we will." Jessica said. Hakeem smiled the biggest smile ever. One of the co-workers took Hakeem to where the children slept. After Hakeem left, Jessica and I both said at the same time "We want him." Mrs. Martin laughed. "I was hoping you would say that." Jessica and I laughed. "Though to be sure, we would like you to take three days to be sure." she said. "Okay. See you in three days." I said. "See you in three days." Mrs. Martin said. We shook hands with her. On our way home, Jessica intertwined our hands. "Our family is complete." she said. I smiled. "Complete baby." I said, kissing her hand. It is complete.Author's Note
