Travis's POV
"Everyone's here." I said to Jessica. She was trying to look her best to tell everyone about Hakeem. "How do I look?" she said. "The same thing I have said for the last three times: wonderful." I said, giving her a kiss. "Now come on." I said, taking her hand. "Jen and Brittney are here?" she said. "Yes and they are behaving." I said. She nodded her head. We headed downstairs. "And the perfect ass couple arrives!" Jacob said, as we came into the living room. Jessica shot him a death glare. I saw Jen and Brittney they were sitting on opposite sides of the room. Please let this go well. I sat down in a chair and pulled Jessica into my lap. "We have some exciting news to tell you guys." I said. Everyone looked at each other to see if they knew the news, then they looked at us. "Well, what is it?" Kimberly asked. "We have adopted a child." Jessica said. It was quiet for a few moments. "That's great!" Jen said, getting up to hug Jessica. I breathed a sigh of relief. Then, I got up and hugged Jen after she hugged Jessica. Everyone started to get up and congratulate us. I could tell everyone was genuinely happy for us. "So, when do we get to meet him?" Taylor asked. "Well, today is Wednesday and we bring him home tomorrow." Jessica said.Jessica's POV
"Damn, how long were you playing on keeping it from us?" Jacob said. "We wanted everything to be legal before we told everyone." I said. They all nodded their heads. "Now we want to give him some time to adjust which we are pretty sure that will be pretty quick. So, we are going to host a cookout on Saturday so he can meet all you guys." Travis said. "I'll be there and with a gift." Jen said. "Us, too." Charles said. Everyone was saying the same but Brittney. "Brittney will you be there?" I asked. Everyone looked at her but Jen. Brittney was staring at dead at Jen. "Yes. I will be there." she said. "Now, you guys please don't pop up on us before Saturday. We really don't him to feel uncomfortable." I said. Everyone nodded their head. Then, we spent the rest of the time talking about gifts and what to bring to the cookout.Author's Note
