Travis's POV
Hakeem was having a great time, I could tell. "I think Hakeem has a new friend." Kimberly said. I looked over and saw Hakeem and Tyler playing with the basketballs. "Yeah. I guess he does." I said. I checked the burgers on the grill and then closed the lid. Jessica came out the house with plates, spoon, forks, and napkins. "Burgers are almost done." I said. She nodded her head and went back inside. A few minutes later, I started taking the hamburgers of the grill. Now all the food was done. I put the hamburgers with the rest of the food. We had fries, potato salad, corn on the cob, chips, pull pork, and much more. Jessica came out with a few more things. Just as Jessica was about to call everybody I pulled her in and gave her kiss. "You have no idea how happy I am that you are in my life." I said. "Aww. I love you, too, baby." she said. I gave her one more kiss. Then, she called everyone to eat. I looked around and saw Jacob eating. "Jacob has the first bite so he says the prayer." Everyone laughed at Jacob.Jessica's POV
I laughed at Jacob. Everyone started holding hands I felt a small hand grab my hand. I looked down and saw Hakeem smiling with his eyes. My heart melted. I was happy with how my life was turning out. I had a great son. I had a beautiful husband, who was amazing. I couldn't imagine my life being any better. Everyone started sitting down after Jacob said prayer. I started fixing Hakeem's plate, but as soon as I smelled the potato salad, I got up and ran to the bathroom. I heard Jacob and Hakeem calling my name. As soon as I reached the toilet, I started throwing up. After I got finished, I weakly lifted up myself to the sink. I turned on the water and started washing out my mouth. I felt two strong hands around my waist. "You okay, baby?" Travis asked. "Yeah. Probably all the work from today got me." I said. I washed my mouth out. "My breath, okay?" I asked. "It's fine." he said. "Mama." I looked down and saw Hakeem standing in the door. I kneeled to where he was. "You okay?" he asked, playing with my hair. "Yes. I'm fine." "You sure?" "I promise." I said with a smile. He smiled at me and gave me a hug. Travis helped me up and we all went outside. Everyone asked was I okay and I told him them I was fine. You really think it was the potato salad? Travis still is putting it down and not using protection. I really hadn't thought about that, but for today I was going to push that in the back of my head.Author's Note
