Callista Miller
Isaac was leaning against the hood of his Ferrari, blowing out a puff of smoke in the rain. It was raining cats and dogs. How the hell he was smoking in this weather? I stopped beside him, mimicking his posture. He blew another puff, making smoke rings, "why are you here, Calli?" I sighed, feeling cold in the rain, "I left Ares." Isaac stilled before barking out a huge laugh, "Are you kidding me?" I smiled, "I am not. He told me everything." This time Isaac turned towards me. It was hard to look in his eyes through the rain. He seemed shocked. Isaac threw away the smoke stick, "everything?" I gauged the caution in his tone, nodding, "Everything."
Isaac slumped on the hood, running his hand through the wet blond locks. Today, he didn't tie his hair. I looked up, closed my eyes, and felt the harsh droplets digging into my skin, "you are brothers." Isaac scoffed, "Unfortunately, yes." I peeked a glance at his disgusted face, "why do you hate Ares so much?" Isaac's face hardened and eyes narrowed, "he is sick! An ungrateful bastard!" I held his hand, "still, he is your brother." Isaac jerked free his hand, standing straight, "No! No brother of mine is someone like him!" I stood up too, eyes carefully assessing his strained face, "Isaac...." "No, Calli. You don't know anything. He got everything in his life without asking for it. Whereas me? I had to fight for my rights!" Isaac paced before me, "he is one year younger than me. But he is the heir to the mafia and not me! After I kill him, everything will be mine. As it rightfully should have been." I watched the evil glint in his eyes shine in this stormy weather as if it were reflecting how sinister his intentions were. I spoke up, firmly, "Just like how your father killed Asrael for the mafia?" Isaac's eyes widened slightly before fixing on a glare, "Shut up!" I continued, "No? Ubel had brainwashed you, Isaac. Ares never wanted to kill you. Ubel had destroyed the relation between you two brothers, turning you against Ares."
Isaac held onto my shoulders, I winced when his nails dug into my skin, "Dad didn't brainwash me. Ares snatched everything from me. I am going to kill him!" I pushed at his hands, "You don't have to! You two had lost your sister because of Ubel! Don't you understand?" Isaac pushed me before hollering, "I am going to kill him regardless of that!" I shook my head, disgusted, "You are sick! Still, Ares never wants to kill you!" Isaac smirked, "I know. I always said he couldn't kill me."
I sighed, feeling the coldness seep in my bones. I stared at the blank aquamarines, "you know where my parents are?" Isaac nodded, neck stiff. I chuckled a hollow laugh, "And you watched me suffer. What a friend you are." Isaac gently held my hand, "Calli, I had no other choice." I looked into his eyes, "you had. But you chose to make me see Ares fail. Congratulations, he failed. And finally, I chose my parents over him." I saw visible relief shine in his eyes. His hold on my hand tightened. I felt revolted. Isaac confessed, "I can take you to them. But, only if you agree to be my girlfriend. Only then, Dad will show me the place." I shook my head, astounded, "You really are Ubel's puppet. He didn't tell you where my parents are?" Isaac pursed his lips, "Yes. I needed to show him that you matter to me for him to let your parents go. He plans on killing you and your parents as leverage to kill Ares."
Unable to tolerate his touch, I snatched my hand, "how can I believe you after your too many betrayals, Isaac?" Isaac clicked his tongue, "you don't have a choice. And this time, I am not lying or betraying you." I stared hard at him, "Yes. I don't have a choice. I am your girlfriend now, Isaac Harrison. Take me to my parents." Isaac smiled and hugged me. I fisted my hands by my side and closed my eyes, recalling what Ares told me was right.
"Baby, make him believe we broke up and you left me for your parents. Ubel will never show him the place he kept your parents unless he proves that you are by their side."

The mansion Isaac brought me to was huge and.... untouched. Like nobody lived here. There was no touch of familiarity, belongings or indulgence. It was plain and grandeur. Like a hotel. I had read the nameplate outside, "the Harrison's", it had read. The hall was huge and grand. The walls, furniture, paintings, everything somehow felt similar. And suddenly, I realised. This mansion was an exact copy of the ancestral DelaVega mansion. Isaac squeezed my hand. I looked at him, cautious and apprehensive. He smiled, "Welcome to my home, Calli." I couldn't help but admit, "This is....this is like ancestral DelaVega mansion." Isaac's smile morphed into a crooked smirk, "you are a nice observer, Calli." I gulped. Our attention turned to the clicking of heels descending the spiral staircase.
