The grand halls of King Sebastian's castle were adorned with opulent decorations, creating a lavish backdrop for Fah's much-anticipated wedding ceremony. Gilded chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow over the proceedings, while elaborate floral arrangements adorned every corner, filling the air with the sweet scent of roses and lilies.
Guests from far and wide had gathered to witness the union of Fah and her beloved, their attire resplendent in a dazzling array of colors and fabrics. Nobles and dignitaries mingled with commoners and servants, their voices rising in animated conversation as they awaited the arrival of the bride.
Tay, New, and King Alexander arrived early, greeted by the hustle and bustle of preparations for the ceremony.
King Alexander excused himself to find King Sebastian, leaving Tay and New to mingle among the guests. Tay found himself engaged in conversation with Fah's husband-to-be, another royal figure from a neighboring kingdom. They exchanged pleasantries and shared stories, bonding over their shared experiences as members of royalty.
King Alexander went off to find King Sebastian, Tay took the opportunity to greet Fah's husband-to-be, another royal figure. "Good morning," Tay greeted warmly, extending his hand in greeting. "Congratulations on your wedding day. It's an honor to meet you."
Fah's husband smiled graciously, returning Tay's handshake with equal warmth. "Thank you," he replied, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "I'm grateful for your kind words. It's a pleasure to meet you as well."
Meanwhile, New seized the chance to sneak into his sister's room to see her before the ceremony began. "P'Fah...!" he called out softly as he entered, his voice filled with affection.
Fah's face lit up with joy as she turned to see her brother standing in the doorway. "New...!" she exclaimed, rushing forward to envelop him in a tight embrace.
As they hugged, New spoke to his sister, his voice filled with emotion. "You look absolutely radiant, P'Fah," he murmured, his eyes shining with pride. "I couldn't be happier for you."
The time arrived for Fah to make her grand entrance, New hugged his sister one last time before she left to join the procession. "I'll see you out there," he whispered, his voice filled with warmth and affection.
Quickly, New made his way back to the guest area, where he met up with Tay. Tay glanced at him curiously, about to inquire about his whereabouts, but then remembered their agreement. Tay remained silent, his thoughts turning inward.
Among the guests, Tay's eyes caught sight of Princess Anya, her presence like a beacon in the crowded room. Princess Anya noticed Tay as well, their eyes meeting in a fleeting moment of connection.
New noticed the exchange and leaned in to whisper to Tay. "Tay, if you want to spend time with her, you can sneak out to meet with her later," he offered, his voice low and reassuring. "I'll cover up for you here."
Tay looked at New, a mixture of gratitude and confusion swirling in his mind. New's gesture touched him deeply, yet he couldn't shake the nagging feeling of discomfort that gnawed at his heart.
New's smile was reassuring, but Tay couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over him. He should be happy at the prospect of spending time with Princess Anya, yet he found himself feeling unsettled by New's kindness.
As Fah's wedding ceremony unfolded before them, Tay couldn't help but wonder why he felt so conflicted. Despite the joyous occasion and the opportunity to see Princess Anya, his heart felt heavy with a sense of guilt and uncertainty.
