–Police Station–

Kou adjusted his police cap as he strode purposefully into the precinct, his steps echoing against the tiled floors. Kazuo looked up from his desk, a furrow forming between his brows as he registered the urgency etched across Kou's features.

"We've got an urgent order," Kou stated, his voice firm and authoritative, betraying none of the underlying tension that lurked beneath the surface.

Kazuo leaned forward, his curiosity piqued. "What's the situation?"

"We've been tasked with apprehending an armed civilian," Kou replied, his tone clipped and to the point. "They've been spotted in Akihabara, specifically on Chuo-dori Street."

Kazuo's eyes widened slightly at the information, a bustling district known for its crowded streets and vibrant nightlife. "Why us? Can't another unit handle it?"

Kou shook his head and pursed his lips. "It's a matter of jurisdiction. This falls under our jurisdiction, and time is of the essence. We've been instructed to investigate and assist in the apprehension until backup arrives."

Kazuo nodded and stood up, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Understood. Let's move quickly."

As they gathered their gear and prepared to depart, Kazuo spoke again, "Inform the other units and coordinate backup. I'll gather the necessary equipment and meet you at the assigned point."

Kou acknowledged Kazuo's directive with a nod. "Right away."

-------------------------------

Kazuo gripped the steering wheel tightly as he navigated the bustling streets, the flashing lights of the police car slicing through the darkness. It was raining heavily and he kept the windshield wipers on in order to clear the vision. Beside him, another officer sat, their attention divided between the road ahead and the urgent call coming through on their radio.

The officer's voice crackled over the radio, his brow furrowing in concern as he listened intently. Finally, with a terse nod, he ended the call and turned to Kazuo.

"The civilian hasn't been identified yet," the officer reported, his tone clipped with tension.

Kazuo's jaw tightened, a sense of frustration gnawing at him. "Keep me updated. We need to know who we're dealing with."

The officer nodded, his gaze returning to the road ahead as they continued their race against time. They drove for a while before the radio crackled to life again, the voice of the same officer breaking through the static. It was a bit slow due to the rainy weather, but they could work with it.

"Officers at the scene have spotted the civilian. They've identified her as a woman in her late teens. She's armed with a knife, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. Over."

Kazuo absorbed the information, his mind racing with the implications of the situation. "Dispatch, this is Officer Kade. Are they waiting for our orders?"

"Yes, sir. They're awaiting your command."

Kazuo processed the gravity of the situation. With a determined nod, he instructed, "Tell them to maintain their positions and be on standby. I'm approaching the scene now."

The officer on the other end of the line acknowledged Kazuo's command with a brisk "Copy that," before the radio fell silent once more.

Kazuo brought the police car to a halt near the designated location. With a swift motion, he exited the vehicle, his senses heightened as he prepared to confront the imminent threat.
