Saturday 9pm (Seoul)
Rosé's P.O.V.
After the long flight back to Seoul, we waited in the airport for our baggage on the carousel to arrive. "So Lisa, Rina and I are going straight home but you can go pack anything you'll need for while you're staying with us. I'll arrange my chauffeur to collect you when you're ready tomorrow."
Jennie had offered for us to stay with her for the next few weeks while our house was being redecorated. It was fair to say Jisoo and I differing opinions on the situation. "Thank you Jennie, that's really kind."
"I know." She replied, putting her sunglasses on casually.
"Too kind for you." Jisoo muttered under her breath, staring ahead at the baggage carousel with a frown.
"Is there a problem, Jisoo?" Jennie asked, tilting her sunglasses down to glare at her.
I nudged Jisoo's shoulder lightly indicating for her to be polite. She sighed before shaking her head. "Nope, no problem."
"Good, that's what I thought." Jennie replied sternly before smiling widely and walking away when she noticed Lisa and Rina who were entering the room in the distance.
"Why is she going to so much effort to be nice to us?" I was curious as to why Jennie had taken us to New York in the first place when usually it was rare for me to be scheduled to attend business events on such short notice.
"I think it has something to do with that situation." Jisoo said raising her eyebrow and gesturing across the room. On one of the rows of empty chairs, Winter was sat happily listening to music oblivious to Rina who was now sitting 2 seats away staring at her longingly in awe. The 2 had been quiet all morning but I did notice Rina was wearing Winter's favourite denim jacket.
"Well... that's kind of sweet I guess." I placed my arm around Jisoo's shoulder.
During our time in New York, we'd both noticed that Rina had a crush on Winter. It wasn't a shock but despite being sociable at times, Winter often preferred her own company and was generally oblivious to the attention she was receiving from her admirer.
Jisoo however wasn't so happy about it. "No it isn't. Rosé, do you really want Winter to be with Jennie's daughter? She's arrogant, selfish and after that scene at the restaurant last week, I'd argue she's possessive too."
After the scene at the restaurant, Jisoo made it clear that she wanted Winter to focus on her music and was concerned Rina would be a distraction to her. I however tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. "I think she just comes from a different background to us. The Kims are wealthy and maybe she's just used to that lifestyle."
"Exactly, I want our daughter to appreciate things she works hard for. To be successful by her own merit and treat people kindly not to be given everything on a plate." She stated, smiling at our daughter who was waving to us from across the room. I waved back, proudly watching as she got out a book and started reading a novel whilst still listening to music.
