Saturday 8pm (2 weeks later)
Jisoo's P.O.V.
It was the night of the company gala at Pink Venom headquarters in Gangnam. An exclusive event that was exceptionally important with various fashion designers and paparazzi present to listen to the various speeches and live music that were scheduled to perform. Yet being such a significant event, it came with a sense of obligation to mingle with the crowd which wasn't exactly my strength.
"These events are the worst, I just had a 20 minutes conversation with one of the executives about... actually it was that boring I don't even know what it was about!" I complained, making my way back towards Rosé who looped her arm around mine.
"Well you're doing well and Winter seems to be having fun." She gestured towards our daughter who was with Rina, talking to the Kims on the other side of the room. As soon as she saw Rosé and I, she waved in our direction.
"I've noticed, you know Rina's hand has basically been attached to her waist all evening." I glared watching Rina holding tightly to Winter, refusing to let go as they made small talk to the crowd.
"I think it's sweet they're so close." Rosé replied with a warm smile.
"Our daughter is sat at the Kim's table instead of with us. That isn't sweet." I argued back, watching as Winter took a seat beside Jennie at the main table of the event that was pride of place for the speeches that evening.
"That's because she was Rina's plus one and she's still been coming over to talk to us at every opportunity." Rosé always tried to see the good side in situations like these involving the Kims but after the last few weeks I didn't exactly share that same outlook.
"Well her course starts next month and she needs to be focused on that not all these fashion events." As I observed Winter whispering flirtatiously into Rina's ear, I was concerned she was becoming distracted. She had spent literally every day talking about Rina or the magazine, wanting to accompany me to the studio on weekends.
Rosé put down her glass of champagne, resting her chin in her palm on the table. "Actually, she wanted me to talk to you about something. She's asked if she could take a vacation before her course starts."
"A vacation? We practically just got back from New York." I stated, recalling the trip that had only been a couple of months earlier.
"Technically, that wasn't much of a vacation, we spent most of the time at fashion shows and meeting designers." It had been prearranged by Jennie that we had all had to follow a schedule for the week we were there so I suppose the vacation element of the trip had been rather short-lived.
"Well where is she planning on going?" I asked casually whilst watching the live music orchestra playing on the stage in the distance, adding to the sophisticated and elegant feel to the evening's events.
