Chapter Thirty Five: Beauty Thief and the Space Port of Greed

After a few days of not hearing anything about Sento’s whereabouts or even Morgana not returning home, Ren had trouble sleeping as he woke up one morning worried about them. He walked downstairs where Futaba was sitting behind the counter while Sojiro was busy stirring some curry for the day while the Tv played a news report on Okumura Foods. 

Extreme ups and downs have always been a part of the food industry, but of them all, some have a cynical view over Okumura Foods’ recent rapid growth. 

Futaba: Mona’s still not home and Sento hasn’t replied at all… 

With a reduction in personnel expenses, the company has maintained high revenue. Some have labeled it as a so-called “sweatshop.” And so this program has contacted the company’s public relations department… 

As Sojiro was too busy with the curry to even notice, Futaba took out her phone and spoke to Ren in private. 

F: Mona said he was going to take on Okumura alone. 

Ren: True. 

F: He can be capable when he wants to be. But I’m more worried about Sento, he never said what he was doing. We should go to Okumura’s Palace. Let’s gather everyone. 

She finished texting as Ren looked at her in silence, and later the rest of the Thieves gathered outside of Okumura Foods building. 

Ryuji: It’s huge! 

Yusuke: It is the headquarters of a large corporation, after all. 

Ren: We should be ready for possible major resistance. 

Ryuji: Sheesh! That cat’s more trouble than he’s worth and even Sento disappeared! It’s not like we have much time on our hands as Phantom Thieves… 

Ann: Though you’re worried about them, after all. 

Ryuji: I ain’t worried! 

Makoto: Futaba. You said you found the Palace keywords, right? 

Futaba: Sure, I got it. I used custom tools to sift through a ton of data and then gathered info only on Okumura. The keywords derived from the analysis are… “Corporate HQ” and “outer space.” 

Ryuji: Huh? The hell? 

Ann: The company owns Big Bang Burger, right? “Big Bang” is space lingo. 

Makoto: Well, not necessarily… So the concept behind the store branch name came from the CEO himself. 

Yusuke: Outer space, eh? How exciting. 

Ryuji: We better be able to breathe once we get in there. 

Makoto: “Kunikazu Okumura”, “corporate HQ” and “outer space”, right? 

She said as the app typed the words into the search bar, the group was sent into Okumura’s Palace, as it was a large space station and it was actually in space rather than on Earth. 

Skull: Whoa! 

Fox: I wish I had brought my sketchbook. 

Panther: For now, it seems like there’s air. 

Queen: Well? Do you think you can track Mona or Ace down? 

Oracle: No, I can’t search in here. 

Joker: Shall we do a thorough search? 

He said as the group sneaked through the large but empty space station, as they entered a large room they suddenly heard loud noises coming underneath the area they were in.
