TIMELINE + INFORMATION FOR CORA

CORALIA "CORA" MAYA ALENA AL GHUL aka THE SIREN

NOTE: Cora's full name is known, but she was adopted into the League of Assassins, and was given the family name by Ra's Al Ghul.

DESCRIPTIVES:

Cora is 5 feet, 11 inches, with raven hair that reaches halfway down her back. She's 175 pounds, and had a petite physique. After joining the league she became more built. She likes to wear baggy clothes, but when fighting she wears tighter suits that are all black.

She is skilled in multiple combat techniques, but shines best in long range shooting and hand to hand combat.

She speaks multiple languages, including Greek and German, but only uses English unless the others are needed.

After going to the surface she found a love for heavier music, her favorite band is Metallica.

Her favorite colors are white, gold, and blue.

She loves collecting jewelry, rocks, and she loves plant life. Her apartment is filled with different plants, as many as she can collect. She also has many trinkets scattered about from when she finds them on the beach or on missions for the league. Many different art supplies can be found as well, and she loves to paint the ocean.

Parents: Phorcys the king of monsters, and Ceto the sea goddess.

Her powers include water manipulation, magical abilities, spell casting, runes, ability to control sea life, hypnosis, and soul stealing.

TIMELINE:

Back before the days of the Black City of Necrus, Cora was born to a family of sirens. She loved to explore the oceans, and was born to the lowest class. She was deformed, born with legs instead of a tail. She spent her days staring at the surface, wondering if there was a place for her amongst them. She worked for her family, who were kelp farmers, rather than the typical sirens who lured sailors. She would often be found in the meadows of the sea, singing to the creatures, and worshipping Achelous the river god. She found that the gods had blessed her with magical blue powers, ones that would heal instead of hurt.

When Kordax rose to power, he sought out a queen. He heard about the magical siren, and chose her. He stole her from her family, slaughtering them all, before forcing her to do his bidding. She was forced into witchcraft, learning spells and runes, destroying her powers, turning them an emerald color. It also stained her hair a raven color, and turned her skin ashy, and her nails became longer. She looked more and more like the typical sirens that are told in myths, rather than the fair-skinned girl that she was. After working with Kordax for years, he sought more power, and she had to oblige. They eventually married, and when they did she placed a curse on him. After months of his tedious search for more power, he asked her to figure out a spell to create an instrument of evil: the black trident. She created the instructions, and after he created it, he killed her. Before she died, she cast a protection spell over her pet squid, Ceto, and she cast a spell of death over Kordax. This spell would weaken him, and after she died, Atlantis waged war. Atlan successfully sealed Kordax away with blood magic. Before her death, Cora had also sealed away a magical sword, Fragarach, which was guarded by the mythological half wolf, half orca Ahklut.

22 years before Kane discovered the kingdom of Necrus, Cora was reincarnated. She had no recollection of her previous life. She was born into a wealthy Necrusian family that were remnants of the Lost Kingdom. They had taken refuge in an old siren cove, where she had explored years before, which also kept Fragarach hidden. Her father, Koran, was the leader of the people and had trained her to be their next queen. However, shortly before she would ascend to the throne, King Orvax of Atlan waged war. Her family was killed, and she was thrown ashore, forced to seek refuge with the surface dwellers.

When she was thrown ashore, she met Arthur Curry. After she became well acquainted with him, she joined the League of Assassins.

She fought in Gotham for the League for many years, befriending Bruce Wayne and his children.

After the events of David Kane and TLK, she becomes queen of Necrus, ruling along side her husband Orm Marius.
