"Let's welcome... our prom King and Queen!"

Everyone clapped.

Samari was sitting in the corner watching Paradise and her ex-boyfriend make their way to the floor for a dance.

Paradise was her girlfriend. However, she was there—dancing with her ex as the prom King and Queen.

She couldn't take her eyes off them; They looked so perfect. And Paradise never looked at her the way she looked at him.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing all alone?" A voice asked.

Samari turned her head to see a girl in a suit.

"Oh me? watching my girlfriend dance with her ex-boyfriend" She sighed.

She felt a pair of hands on her shoulders—as the hands belonged to a girl from her class. Zaira. Her face was close to Samari's as she leaned towards her.

"You don't need to sit there all by yourself. How about we dance? I assure you; I can dance better than anybody here."

"Oh really?" Samari asked staring at the girl.

"Indeed."

She looked sure about herself—she seemed to be a little cocky.

"But first..."

Zaira glanced over Samari's body, up and down, scanning her slowly before finally meeting Samari's eyes again.

"...You're very attractive, you know that?"

Samari blushed, as this was the first time she'd been complimented all night.

Zaira noticed Samari's blush at her compliment, then she chuckled softly.

She gently pulled Samari to stand, as she grabbed her hand and started walking her to the dance floor.

"So... what's your name?"

"Samari" She replied quietly.

"That's a very pretty name, I'm Zaira"

As soon as they reached the dancefloor, she took Samari close, wrapping her hands around her waist and pulling her to her chest.

She started dancing slowly and smoothly, as she looked Samari over.

As she continued to dance, she ran her hands down Samari's arm, before resting her fingers on her palm.

"You have very soft hands."

"Thank you" Samari blushed.

Zaira smirked.

She seemed to really like seeing Samari blush.

"You're blushing. You're really cute."

Her hands shifted to Samari's hips now, as she continued to move her body with hers. She made sure it was close proximity, not giving Samari any personal space.
