Suddenly, Samari's door bursted open.

It was Zaira.

She had rushed back into the house after she heard a loud thud.

She ran into the room and saw her there, laying on the floor almost lifelessly. She immediately rushed to her side, and kneeled down.

"Samari...SAMARI!"

Zaira saw the way Samari's eyes moved as she stared at her.

A wave of guilt and regret flooded her heart once more as she saw the way she laid there, almost dead.

As she called out to her, to see any signs of life, Samari's eyes remained locked onto hers. She gently held her hand and checked for a pulse. She could barely sense it, but it was there.

Zaira quickly called an ambulance, not wanting to waste anymore time.

Samari spoke weakly.

"Zaira.."

In sheer shock, Zaira immediately let out a sigh of relief as she heard her speak. She couldn't believe it, she couldn't believe that she was still alive.

She gently took Samari's face in her hands.

"Goddamit, don't scare me like that. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you. If I never saw you alive again, I don't know if I could live with myself."

"I'm sorry." Samari replied weakly.

She felt her eyes locked onto hers once more.

"Don't you dare apologize for it. I'm the one who should be sorry here, not you. I'm the idiot who left you there thinking that you didn't matter to me. I'm the dick who walked away from you. I'm the ass who put you here in the first place."

She looked at her as she laid there, so fragile and so precious.

Samari's eyes watered.

Zaira couldn't help but feel guilt-ridden after seeing her eyes water in front of her...and hearing her shaky and weak tone.

She didn't want to leave her like this, alone and so fragile.

And ahe hated the fact that she was the one who put her into this state.

Zaira didn't deserve her.

She never did.

Zaira cupped her face in her hands, gently brushing away her tears with her thumbs.

She gently pulled Samari into her arms and held her tightly.

Just then, Samari's mom came home from work.

Work had her stressed but seeing her daughter so destroyed and sad had her even more stressed.

Samari refused to eat even though her mom really wanted her to.
